Smart release nitrogen-containing fertilizer granules
There is provided a nitrogen fertilizer granule in which the nitrogen release can be timed and the nitrogen release rate can be controlled according to the needs of the plants to be fertilized. The smart release nitrogen-containing fertilizer granule comprises a nitrogen-containing fertilizer core; an organic functional layer covering the core, wherein the organic functional layer comprises at least one functional organic compound that is an enzyme inhibitor, a microbial suppressor, a phosphorus solubilizer, and/or a plant hormone; a controlled release layer covering the organic functional layer, wherein the controlled release layer comprises water-swellable copolymeric nanoparticles; and an anticaking layer covering the controlled release layer, wherein the anticaking layer comprises water-insoluble copolymeric nanoparticles.
Particles of fertilizers encapsulated in modified chitosan and obtaining method
The present invention relates to fertilizer particles encapsulated in modified chitosan and a method of obtaining them. The particles described in this invention allow a controlled, moderate, or gradual release of an active material from a reserve substrate to another medium, in order to increase the effectiveness of the active material by prolonging its action over time. This invention is characterized in that the active components of said formulations are capable of causing a synergistic effect, considerably increasing the growth and development of plants.
STIMULI-RESPONSIVE POLYMERIC NANOPARTICLES, METHODS OF MAKING STIMULI-RESPONSIVE POLYMERIC NANOPARTICLES, AND METHODS OF USING STIMULI-RESPONSIVE POLYMERIC NANOPARTICLES
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for compositions including polymer particles, methods of making compositions, methods of using the composition, stimuli-responsive methods of delivering agents, and the like.
MICROENCAPSULATED NITRIFICATION INHIBITOR COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure relates to an improved nitrification inhibitor composition and its use in agricultural applications.
ZEOLITE BASED AGRICULTURAL COMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to zeolite based agricultural compositions and their use as delayed release compositions. The delayed release compositions comprise an agricultural composition absorbed into or on the zeolite and the impregnated zeolites can then be coated with a polymer material to give the delayed release composition. Release of the agricultural composition can be tuned to coincide with the demand needs of a growing plant.
NITRIFICATION INHIBITOR COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to enhanced nitrification inhibitor dry fertilizer compositions, methods for making the same, and their use in agricultural applications.
Polymer and carbohydrate-based polymeric material blends with particular particle size characteristics
Described herein are blends of carbohydrate-based polymeric materials with other polymeric materials, where the carbohydrate-based polymeric material is intimately blended with the other polymeric material, so as to exhibit very small particles sizes (e.g., less than 2 μm, or less than 1 μm) for the carbohydrate-based polymeric material in the matrix of the other polymeric material. Such intimate dispersion of very small particles provides for far more of the particles dispersed more evenly throughout the matrix of the other polymeric material, which may enhance various performance characteristics of the blended composite material, and provide for more consistent achievement of such characteristics, from batch to batch. Methods of producing articles from such blends exhibiting such small particles and excellent dispersion are also disclosed. While suitable for use in a wide variety of fields, examples may include for the coating of paper cups, and as a capsule material for sustained release fertilizer.
Strengthened composite products and methods for making and using same
The disclosure provides strengthened products, including strengthened fibrous composite products and methods for making and using same and strengthened particulates, such as particulate fertilizer products, and methods for making and using same. The fibrous composite product can include a plurality of fibers and an at least partially cured strengthening resin. The fertilizer composition can include a particulate core that can include a plant nutrient, at least one coating layer of the strengthening resin, and at least one coating layer of a water insoluble material. The strengthening resin can include one or more aldehyde-based resins and one or more crosslinked resins. The crosslinked resin can include one or more polyamines at least partially crosslinked by one or more symmetric crosslinks and can include one or more azetidinium functional groups.
