WIRE-CORE APPLICATOR HAVING MULTI-MATERIAL BRISTLES
A mascara brush having a centre made of at least two wire sections twisted together along a longitudinal axis of the wire core, and having a bristle covering made of plastic bristles formed by filaments, each of which bristles is held in a clamping manner between the two wire sections, and which bristles are formed with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip on their free ends. At least one portion of the bristles has a bristle coating made of a first softer material, and a bristle core that is joined to the bristle coating and made of a second harder material, and at least these bristles have a transverse cut, in the form of a simple wedge, on one side or on two sides, at least partially on their radially outward free ends, and comprise a wedge-shaped bristle tip having at least one cut surface forming a wedge.
Cosmetic brush
A cosmetic brush is provided that is capable of enhancing an ability to retain a liquid cosmetic material and making fine adjustment to the eyelashes easier. The cosmetic brush comprises a core wire part and a bristle group radially attached to the core wire part around an axis of the core wire part continuously in a helical state in an axial direction of the core wire part. The bristle group has bristles each constituted by integrating a basic fiber made up of a plurality of bundled constituent fibers and a wound fiber helically wound around an outer circumferential surface of the basic fiber.
Oral Care Implement or Head Plate Therefor and Method of Forming the Same
A method of forming an oral care implement, a method of forming a head plate for an oral care implement, and an oral care implement or head plate formed therefrom. The head plate may have micro-sized or fine features. The method may include providing an amount of a first solid material upstream of a first mold cavity; prior to the first solid material entering the first mold cavity, applying ultrasonic energy to the first solid material to melt the first solid material into a first molten material; flowing the first molten material into the first mold cavity; allowing the first molten material to harden within the first mold cavity to form a head plate comprising micro-sized features; forming a body from a second material, the body including a handle portion and a head portion; and coupling the head plate to the head portion of the body.
Oil stripping device
An oil stripping device for removing oil from hair includes a plate that has a handle is coupled to an end. A pad, which comprises a sorbent and is configured to absorb oil, is coupled to an upper face of the plate. A plurality of bristles is coupled to and extends from the upper face of the plate through the pad. The handle is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user positioning the bristles to brush a strand of hair. Each bristle comprises a wall that is annular so that the bristle is tubular. A plurality of barbs is coupled to and extends from the wall. The barbs are configured to scrape oil from hairs and to direct the oil toward the wall. The oil enters the bristle through set of holes. The bristle directs the oil to the pad, positioning the pad to absorb the oil.
Applicator with bristles of particle-filled plastic
A mascara brush with a core comprising at least two sections of wire twisted together along a wire core longitudinal axis and a set of bristles comprising bristles of plastic formed by filaments, which are respectively clamped between the two sections of wire and are formed at their free ends with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip. The mascara brush provides an increased storage capacity for the mascara composition to be applied with improved delivery of stored mascara composition to the lashes. This is achieved by the bristles being formed from a plastic material extruded into a fibre, to which outwardly protruding particles are added and/or which is provided with punctiform depressions (indentations), which roughen the bristle surface, wherein the bristles that have a wedge-shaped bristle tip at their free ends comprise at least one cut surface that forms a wedge and the surface roughness of which lies between 0.2 m and 6.3 m, in particular between 2.9 m and 6.3 m.
POROUS POLYMERIC POLISHING BRISTLES AND METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE
Polishing media in the form of bristles made from a porous polymer-based material, apparatus and systems including the media, and methods of forming and using the media, apparatus, and systems are disclosed. A method of manufacturing bristles for use in polishing a workpiece which includes a non-planar surface includes the steps of combining a liquid polymer material and a foaming agent to form a foamed polymeric material, and separating the foamed polymeric material into a plurality of bristles. The foaming agent is configured to impart a porosity to the polymeric material, where the porosity is characterized by a density in the range of 0.3 to 1.2 g/cm.sup.3.
Hair brush element and hair brush configurations
The present disclosure relates to hair brushes, hair brush elements and hair brush configurations. In one embodiment, a hair brush element includes a pedestal, and a setting fixed to the pedestal, the setting including a plurality of first elements extending out from the setting and a plurality of second elements extending from the setting and interspersed with the first elements. The second elements have a smaller width relative to the first elements. Another embodiment is directed to a hair brush including a handle, and a brush element configuration supported by the handle. The brush element configuration includes a plurality of brush elements. In one embodiment, the brush element configuration includes a plurality of bristles. Another embodiment is directed to a hair brush including a handle, a lid element configured to retain and dispense dry shampoo and a brush element configuration. The configuration allows for application of dry shampoo to hair.
