Bristle for an oral care implement
A bristle for an oral care implement and an oral care implement including a plurality of such bristles. The bristle may include a body extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end, the body having tapered portion having a transverse cross-sectional profile with a perimeter defined by a first linear section and a second linear section that intersect to form a first apex, a third linear section and a fourth linear section that intersect to form a second apex, a first curved section extending between the first and third linear sections, and a second curved section extending between the second and fourth linear sections. The body may also include a cylindrical body portion such that the tapered portion extends from a top end of the cylindrical body portion. The bristle includes various edges and rounded contours for enhanced cleaning.
COSMETIC BRUSH FIBER HAVING TRIANGULAR CROSS SECTION
Disclosed is a new fiber which has a triangular cross section, and which may be used as a substitute for animal hair with comparable pickup and other properties. The disclosure also relates to methods for providing same.
TOOTHBRUSH AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TOOTHBRUSH
Provided are a toothbrush in which a tapered surface is formed on a tip part of synthetic resin fibers forming a brush and a fiber surface including the fiber tip part is coated with minerals and the toothbrush is provided with a bristle tip (fiber) having appropriate bending strength, and a manufacturing method of the toothbrush. The toothbrush 1 includes a brush in which a mineral component layer is formed on a surface of a synthetic resin fiber 4. The synthetic resin fiber 4a having a tapered surface 4a1 which is formed in a range of 1 mm to 8 mm from a tip occupies 90% or more of the synthetic resin fibers 4 (4a, 4b), and bending strength of the brush at a position of 1 mm from a leading edge of the brush 3 (the synthetic resin fibers 4 (4a, 4b)) is 0.60 N/cm.sup.2 to 2.00 N/cm.sup.2.
Applicator for applying a product to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows
The present invention relates to an applicator (2) for applying a product (P) to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows, having moulded applicator member (8), this applicator member having: —a core (10) that extends along a longitudinal axis (X), and—teeth (20) that narrow in front view in the direction of their free end and have at least one edge having a point of inflection.
Backcombing brush
A backcombing brush for backcombing hair includes an array of bristles 4. Each bristle extends from a base to a free end and two lengths of bristle are provided. Shorter bristles 4a and the bottom of longer bristles 4b carry out backcombing, whilst the longer bristles smooth hair, or untangle knots/tangles in the hair to reduce the level of backcombing. The long bristles have a relatively wide first portion 5, towards the base of the bristle, and a relatively narrow second portion 6, towards the free end of the bristle. The bristles are arranged such that bristles in one row neither extend between adjacent bristles in an adjacent row nor partially occlude the space between bristles in an adjacent row.
HAIR BRUSH
A hair brush for use in a hairdressing store, a beauty shop, or at home, is able to easily and freely create a hair style by arranging flexible brush pins to a brush pedestal of the hairbrush so that the hair is easily entangled around the brush portion. The brush pedestal is further provided with a large number of hot air injection holes to inject hot air generated by a heater and a fan formed at an inside of the brush pedestal. Thus, hair styling using the hot air by one-handed operation is possible. Further, since the brush pedestal is heated by receiving the heat generated by the heater, the brush pedestal in contact with the hair becomes hot and thus an iron effect at the time of hair styling can be obtained.
Methods of providing a cosmetic brush
Example aspects of a method of providing a cosmetic brush for use in the application of cosmetics are disclosed. The method can comprise the steps of extruding a plurality of elongate brush bristles each having a triangular transverse cross section, such that each of said elongate brush bristles defines three substantially parallel edges along the length of each of said the bristles; and combining said plurality of said bristles to provide a brush head configured for the application of cosmetics.
Oral Care Implement
An oral care implement having a head with a bristle bearing surface. The oral care implement may include a central bristle tuft extending from a central portion of the bristle bearing surface, the central bristle tuft terminating in a domed distal surface. Furthermore, the oral care implement may include a plurality of perimetric bristle tufts extending from the bristle bearing surface and arranged to circumferentially surround the central bristle tuft. Each of the perimetric bristle tufts may have an inclined distal surface that slopes downward towards the central bristle tuft. The bristle bearing surface of the head may have a total surface area (TSA), and the toothbrush may include a tooth cleaning element field having X number of tooth cleaning elements that collectively occupy a total cleaning element area (TCEA) such that
and Z is in a range of 0.04 to 0.065.
MOLD INSERT AND METHOD OF MAKING A MOLD INSERT
A mold insert and an injection-molding machine including the mold insert. The mold insert has at least one filament cavity and a stack of at least a first and second insert plates, wherein the first plate has a front face that closely abuts a front face of the second insert plate. A portion of the a filament cavity is provided in at least one of the front faces of the first and second insert plates such that the filament cavity is open at a top surface of the mold insert but does not extend to a bottom surface of the mold insert. A venting cavity is provided in the same front face of the insert plate in which the portion of the at least one filament cavity is provided.
