Brush head for a toothbrush and method for producing the brush head
The brush head of the toothbrush has filaments that are pointed at one end and led through clearances in the bristle carrier. These filaments have a length of about 10-20 mm. The tips of the pointed filaments produce a height profile other than that of a plane and the ends of the pointed filaments that are remote from the tips are melted.
Oral care implement
An oral care implement that includes a head having a face with a tuft hole therein. A plurality of bristles are disposed within the tuft hole and arranged in a bristle tuft that extends from the face of the head. The bristle tuft includes a first subset of the bristles and a second subset of the bristles. Each of the bristles has a longitudinal axis and a transverse cross-sectional profile having a major axis and a minor axis, the major axes of the bristles being longer than the minor axes of the bristles. The major axes of the bristles of the first subset may be non-parallel to the major axes of the bristles of the second subset.
Household brush or hygiene brush device
A household brush or hygiene brush device has at least one brush application region comprising at least one first bristle end zone and at least one second bristle end zone, wherein the second bristle end zone is implemented differing from the first bristle end zone.
Disposable Toothbrush Head
This present application discloses a disposable toothbrush head product that cleans the teeth and removes plaque, food particles and other unwanted debris from the mouth easily and safely. The disposable toothbrush head product is an individually wrapped, thin plastic or rubber toothbrush head with a series of shorter bristles. The bristles are coated with an activatable toothpaste, gel or other tooth cleaning solution. The brush head can be adhered to a finger using adhesive or a plastic ring for cleaning the teeth. Additionally, the product is a convenient toothbrush option for individuals looking to clean teeth while away from home.
Toothbrush Storage Assembly
A toothbrush storage assembly for storing a toothbrush includes a pad that is comprised of a hydrophobic material to inhibit fluids from adhering to the pad. A lip is coupled to the pad to inhibit fluid from spilling off of the pad. A plurality of bristles is each coupled to and extends upwardly from the pad and a toothbrush can be scrubbed on the bristles for cleaning the toothbrush. The plurality of bristles is arranged to define on open area on the pad which accommodates a base of the toothbrush when the toothbrush is stood on the pad for storage.
Method of making a unitary brush head and unitary toothbrush head
A toothbrush comprised at least one unitary brush head having a base and at least one filament and extending therefrom and having a free end terminating with a tip, wherein the filament has a length of from 6.0 mm to 20.0 mm between the base and the free end, and wherein the unitary brush head is made from a plastic material that has a melt flow rate of not greater than about 30 g/10 min measured in accordance with ISO 1133.
POWERED TOOTHBRUSH BRISTLE HEAD
A powered toothbrush and toothbrush head comprise a transmission housing; a substantially disk-shaped bristle carrier; a plurality of first bristle tufts arranged on the bristle carrier along a first virtual circle; and a plurality of second bristle tufts arranged on the bristle carrier along a second virtual circle, the second virtual circle being concentric with and having a smaller diameter than the first virtual circle, wherein each of the plurality of first bristle tufts includes a plurality of bristles of a first type, having a tapered form.
Oral care implement and filament for the same
A mechanically tapered bristle filament for an oral care implement. The filament is characterized by a long thin tapered end portion. The tapered end portion has a taper length and tip diameter comparable to chemically tapered filaments. The areal surface roughness of the tapered end portion however is greater than chemically tapered filaments thereby producing increased scrubbing action against the surfaces of the teeth. The foregoing taper and roughness characteristics of the present filament enhance inter-dental cleaning effectiveness.
MOLD INSERT AND METHOD OF MAKING A MOLD INSERT
A mold insert has at least one filament cavity and a stack of at least a first and second insert plates, wherein the first plate has a front face that closely abuts a front face of the second insert plate. A portion of the a filament cavity is provided in at least one of the front faces of the first and second insert plates such that the filament cavity is open at a top surface of the mold insert but does not extend to a bottom surface of the mold insert. A venting cavity is provided in the same front face of the insert plate in which the portion of the at least one filament cavity is provided. The venting cavity, which is in air-conducting connection with the blind-hole end of the filament cavity, has a depth between 1 μm and 20 μm. A method of manufacturing the mold insert includes providing first and second insert plates, forming a portion of a filament cavity into at least one of the front faces of the insert plates, forming a venting cavity into the front face with the filament cavity, and bringing the front faces of the plates into close abutment to form a filament cavity.
