Hospital bed computer system having EMR charting capability
A point-of-care computer system is provided, including a display positioned in a point-of-care location. The point-of-care computer includes hardware coupled to a frame of a hospital bed.
FURNITURE TRAY TABLE
A furniture table that can include a table surface, a base, a vertical support beam, and a horizontal support arm. The vertical support beam has a first end and a second end, with the first end being coupled to the base. The horizontal support arm has a first end coupled to the table surface and a second end coupled to the second end of the vertical support beam. The horizontal support arm includes an arcuate shaped portion.
Movable table
A movable table assembly includes a base, a vertical support, and a table. The base includes a longitudinal frame member and at least one wheel. The vertical support connects with the base at either a first mounting location adjacent a first end of the longitudinal frame member or a second mounting location adjacent a second, opposite, end of the longitudinal frame member. The table connects with the vertical support and is vertically offset from the base. The table extends away from the vertical support toward the second end of the longitudinal frame member when the vertical support is connected with the base at the first mounting location. The table extends away from the vertical support toward the first end of the longitudinal frame member when the vertical support is connected with the base at the second mounting location.
OVER BED TABLE WITH IMPROVED BASE
A base for an over bed table (OBT) optimized for use with both retractable under-bed wheel(s) and corner structures (e.g. legs/corner wheels). The base includes a column-support portion and a wishbone-shaped extension configured to pass under the bed when the OBT is in use. The wishbone-shaped extension has a U-shaped portion with a profile low enough to pass below raised under-bed wheels, thereby allowing interference-free movement of the base under much of the bed. The wishbone configuration also facilitates movement of the base adjacent to and about the corner structures. For example, the unique shape provides lateral gaps on opposite sides of the base that allow the OBT to be moved farther into the corners of the bed before the base encounters interference from the corner structures, as well as a large central opening that allow the base to deeply straddle corner structures.
Overbed table
An overbed table may have a base support frame with at least three casters and a rechargeable battery. A motor housing with a top wall having an opening may be attached to the base support and a telescoping column that is hollow tubular is attached at a bottom end to the motor housing over the opening to extend upwardly. A linear motor is positioned in the motor housing with a linear motor actuator projecting through the opening and into the telescoping housing wherein an extension member of the linear motor actuator is attached at a top end to a slidable table column member of the telescoping housing. Servo housing is attached at a top end of the slidable table column member with a servomechanism attached in the servo housing positioned for a rotating shaft of the servomechanism to engage a circular bracket attached adjacent to a first end of a table wherein the circular bracket is rotatably engaged with the servo housing. The rechargeable battery is in electrical communication with a control processor of a control panel attached adjacent the first end of the table, to the linear motor and to the servomechanism.
Overbed caddy cart
The over bed caddy is a transportable table that is adapted for use with a person. The over bed caddy is adapted for use with a person in a reclined or upright position. The over bed caddy provides one or more horizontal surfaces for use by the person in the reclined position on a reclining surface. The over bed caddy is adjustable in height. The over bed caddy is mounted on a rolling frame. The over bed caddy provides lighting and electric power for use at the one or more horizontal surfaces. The over bed caddy comprises a tray assembly, a personal storage unit, a telescopic stanchion, and an H assembly. The H assembly is attached to the telescopic stanchion, which is attached to the tray assembly. The personal storage unit is adapted to receive domestic items and devices.
Overbed table with foldable top
An overbed table wherein a flex top (40) is selectively coupled to a table top frame (38). Flex top (40) has fasteners (118, 120) that engage openings (114, 116) in the table top frame. Flex top (40) also includes pins (74, 76) that cooperate with stops (78, 80, 82, 84) that are defined in tracks (50, 52). When pins (74, 76) are seated on first stops (78, 80) flex top is planar. When pins (74, 76) are seated on other stops (82, 84) panels (54, 56) form a peak (86) that is ergonomically favored for certain activities and uses.
Mirror-based reading device
A reading apparatus for assisting a person to read or view reading material, including from a lying down position, with the reading apparatus including in a lying down position. The reading apparatus comprises: an optical system including a tray for supporting the reading material, a reflecting mirror and an imaging mirror, said tray, said reflecting mirror and said imaging mirror being mechanically intercoupled in a manner that enables them to be positioned at predetermined, respective angles relative to each other, to enable the reading material located on said tray to be viewed by viewing an image formed by said imaging mirror. A support is configured to enable the optical system to be positioned in front of the person. The tray, the reflecting mirror and the imaging mirror can be folded onto each other.
