Supported core-shell bimetallic catalyst with high selectivity for propane dehydrogenation
A supported core-shell bimetallic catalyst with high selectivity, and preparation method and an application thereof are provided. SBA-15 is used as support, platinum (Pt) is used as active component, 3d transition metal is used as cocatalysts. In the core-shell bimetallic catalyst formed by the 3d transition metal and Pt, in one aspect, by the addition of the 3d metal in the core, the d-band center of surface Pt atoms is down shifted, and the absorption of propylene is weakened, thereby improving the selectivity for propylene. In another aspect, the use of Pt is reduced by the addition of the 3d transition metal, improving the utilization of Pt. The catalyst is applicable in a hydrogen atmosphere, has a good effect on the preparation of propylene by propane dehydrogenation and causes high dehydrogenation activity under high temperature conditions. The total selectivity for propylene may reach 85%, which achieves high propylene selectivity.
Synthesis of n-heptane from olefins and related production systems
Processes for producing n-heptane from a mixture of 1-hexene and 1-octene in the presence of a suitable isomerization-metathesis catalyst followed by a hydrogenation step are disclosed. Integrated manufacturing systems for producing n-heptane with minimal waste also are disclosed.
DEHYDROGENATION CATALYSTS AND METHODS FOR USING THEM
The present disclosure relates to gallium-based dehydrogenation catalysts that further include additional metal components, and to methods for dehydrogenating hydrocarbons using such catalysts. One aspect of the disclosure provides a calcined dehydrogenation catalyst that includes a gallium species, a cerium species, a platinum promoter, and a silica-alumina support. Optionally, the composition can include a promoter selected from the alkali metals and alkaline earth metals.
Catalyst for the methanation of syngas and producer gas
Disclosed herein, inter alia, are novel nickel-ruthenium-magnesium oxide catalyst compositions and methods of making and using the same. The catalysts provide for improved methanation activity of syngas (CO+H.sub.2) and producer gas in, for example, a fixed-bed reactor. In this manner, the CO conversion and CH.sub.4 yield can be maximized in methanation reactions.
Catalyst
The present invention provides a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst comprising greater than about 40% by weight of cobalt, and having a packed apparent bulk density greater than about 1.30 g/mL.
Circular economy methods of preparing unsaturated compounds
Methods of preparing unsaturated compounds or analogs through dehydrogenation of corresponding saturated compounds and/or hydrogenation of aromatic compounds are disclosed.
CATALYST
The present invention provides a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst comprising greater than about 40% by weight of cobalt, and having a packed apparent bulk density greater than about 1.30 g/mL.
MULTI-SANDWICH COMPOSITE CATALYST AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a multi-sandwich composite catalyst and a preparation method and application thereof. The present disclosure provides a preparation method of a multi-sandwich composite catalyst, comprises the following steps: sequentially depositing a first layer oxide, a first active metal, an oxide interlayer, a second active metal and a surface oxide on a template, and sequentially performing calcination and reduction, thereby obtaining a multi-sandwich composite catalyst; wherein the first active metal and the second active metal are different kinds of active metals. In the present disclosure, a multi-sandwich structure is formed by depositing the oxides and active metals alternately, so that the position and spacing distance of the active centers can be precisely controlled. The multi-sandwich composite catalyst prepared by the method provided described herein has a higher conversion than that of a catalyst without an interlayer when used for the catalytic reaction.
Oxidative conversion of hydrocarbons using sulfur oxides as oxygen carriers
The oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) and the oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of ethane and higher hydrocarbons is described using SO.sub.3 and sulfate, sulfite, bisulfite and metabifulfite salts as oxygen transfer agents in the presence of one or more elements selected from Groups 3 to 14 of the periodic table, optionally further in the presence of alkali or alkaline salts and/or sulfur-containing compounds.
CATALYST
The present invention provides a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst comprising greater than about 40% by weight of cobalt, and having a packed apparent bulk density greater than about 1.30 g/mL.
