METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR WIRELESS TO POWER LINE COMMUNICATIONS
Methods, systems, and apparatus for monitoring and controlling electronic devices using wired and wireless protocols are disclosed. The systems and apparatus may monitor their environment for signals from electronic devices. The systems and apparatus may take and disambiguate the signals that are received from the devices in their environment to identify the devices and associate control signals with the devices. The systems and apparatus may use communication means to send control signals to the identified electronic devices. Multiple apparatuses or systems may be connected together into networks, including mesh networks, to make for a more robust architecture.
PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR REGENERATING MYOFIBERS IN THE TREATMENT OF MUSCLE INJURIES
A pharmaceutical composition and method for regenerating cardiomyocytes in treating or repairing heart muscle damages cause by an ischemic disease. The pharmaceutical composition contains an active ingredient compound with a backbone structure of Formula (I). The active ingredient compound is capable of (a) increasing viability of myogenic precursor cells to enable said precursor cells to survive through an absolute ischemic period; (b) reconstituting a damaged blood supply network in said heart region where said injured muscle is located; and (c) enhancing cardiomyogenic differentiation efficiency of said precursor cells down cardiac linage, said steps being performed simultaneously or in any particular order.
Pyrogallol[2]resorcin[2]arene
A one pot synthesis of a mixed macrocycle of resorcinol and pyrogallol is disclosed using an acidic catalyst by conventional as well as by microwave assisted methods. Compared with traditional synthesis, the microwave mediated tactic provides a simple, greener route and affords higher compound yields in a shorter period. Moreover, the catalyst can be efficiently reused without any loss in activity.
Light harvesting array
The invention relates to a light harvesting array or dye comprising an acceptor linked to a donor, wherein at least one of the acceptor or the donor is an oligomeric unit comprising a first optionally substituted rylene linked via a linker group to a second optionally substituted rylene, the first optionally substituted rylene is linked to the acceptor or the donor and the second optionally substituted rylene is capable of energy transfer to at least one of the first optionally substituted rylene, the acceptor or the donor. The invention also relates to compounds which may be used as light harvesting arrays, methods for their manufacture, and devices and materials comprising the light harvesting array or dye, for example, chromophoric materials, light guides, photobioreactors, photoluminescent algae systems, photodetectors, photovoltaic devices and luminescent/fluorescent solar concentrators.
NOVEL COMPOUND, AND ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENCE DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS USING THE SAME
A compound represented by the following formula (1), provided that at least one of R.sub.1 to R.sub.8 is a deuterium atom; and at least one of Ar.sub.1 and Ar.sub.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted fused aryl group in which only four or more benzene rings are fused.
