Lateral Folding Units
A lateral folding step unit and/or desk unit including a vertical frame and a plurality of linkages pivotally attached at different heights to the vertical frame by one end of each of the linkages, to provide lateral rotation to the linkages. A leg frame, with at least one leg, is pivotally attached to the opposite end of each linkage whereby laterally translating the leg frame simultaneously pivots the linkages from a first, vertical position to at least one second, horizontal position. At least one of the linkages has a receiving surface to serve as a step, a shelf and/or as a work surface.
Under cabinet knife storage unit
An under the cabinet knife storage unit with a knife storage board with a planar top surface and a number of inlaid neodymium disk-shaped magnets that act as contact points for removable PLA brackets; removable PLA (or equivalent material) brackets with inlaid neodymium disk-shaped magnets; and a mounting bracket arrangement for mounting the knife storage board under a kitchen cabinet. The mounting bracket arrangement alternating between an extended position for the knife storage board and a retracted position for the knife storage board. The extended position being at least four inches forward of the retracted position. In the extended position, the knife storage board lies at an angle of between 15 degrees and 60 degrees from the knife storage board in the retracted position.

Utility hook assembly with hidden magnetic latch
A utility hook assembly is disclosed that conveniently secures to a planar surface such as the bottom of a counter or cabinet, and has a plurality of hooks that extend perpendicular to a mounting base. The base may be half of a hinge plate with a plurality of eyelets that are collinear at an edge of the hinge plate. The eyelets each receive one of two L-shaped rods with an upturned, outwardly formed tip that cooperate to serve as hooks such that the hooks can swing/pivot about the eyelets. The legs are separated by a metallic spacer that maintains the integrity of the rods. A magnet is mounted proximal to the hinge plate in a position that intersects the arc traveled by the spacer when the hooks are fully rotated parallel to the horizontal plane. The magnet captures the spacer, which in turn allows the hooks to be hidden when not in use.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RETROFITTING CABINETS WITH A RETRACTABLE SHELF TO ACCOMMODATE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
The invention involves a system and method for retrofitting a cabinet to accommodate wheelchair accessibility, which employs a retractable shelf configured to expand and retract for concealing and revealing a wheelchair accessible space. In exemplary embodiments, the retractable shelf is situated between the left panel and the right panel and in proximity to a floor space of the cabinet, wherein the retractable shelf is configured to retract and expand to reveal or conceal the wheelchair accessible space. The retractable shelf may include a plurality of panels hingedly coupled together, such as a posterior panel and an anterior panel, some of the panels configured to fold, such that at least one of the plurality of panels folds on top of the posterior panel in order to reveal or conceal the wheelchair accessible space. The invention allows retrofitting of any type of cabinet for wheelchair accessibility.
FITTING FOR SECURING A WALL-MOUNTED FURNITURE PIECE TO A WALL, AND WALL-MOUNTED FURNITURE PIECE
A fitting for securing a wall-mounted furniture piece, in particular a wall-mounted cabinet, on a wall is provided. The wall-mounted furniture piece has a furniture body with at least one base, a lateral wall, and a rear wall. The fitting has a first fitting part that can be secured to the wall, a second fitting part that can be secured to the wall-mounted furniture piece, and a drive unit having an adjustable length and via which the first fitting part and the second fitting part are interconnected. A support element is arranged between the first fitting part and the rear wall or a contact surface situated towards the rear of a wall-mounted furniture piece.
Household appliance, in particular a refrigerator or a freezer or a furniture item comprising at least one shelf
A household appliance, in particular a refrigerator or a freezer or a furniture item comprising at least one storage space, in which a support plate is positioned comprising a storage area and a shelf which can be rotationally and translationally moved on the storage area of the support plate, wherein: the shelf comprises a flat storage area which is oriented plane-parallel to the storage area of the support element; the shelf can be rotated relative to the support plate in a first rotational direction and can be displaced in a predefined direction; mutually facing bearing surfaces of the storage areas each have closed peripheral raceway grooves in which rolling elements are guided; the raceway grooves are formed such that, when a force is applied to the shelf in a direction defined in the plane of the storage area, the shelf can be moved, in a movement which is at least partially forcibly guided and which is simultaneously rotational and translational, from a base position into an intermediary position, the shelf being rotated relative to the support plate in one of two possible opposing rotational directions and being displaced in a predefined direction; and the shelf, after being moved into the intermediary position, can be further rotated relative to the support plate in the one of two possible opposing rotational directions and can be displaced counter to the predefined direction and, when rotated by 180°, resumes the base position.
