CONDENSED SILICON-CARBON COMPOSITE
A silicon-carbon composite. In order to improve the cycle stability of a lithium cell equipped therewith, the silicon-carbon composite is produced by a condensation reaction of silicon particles surface-modified with a first condensation-capable group and carbon particles surface-modified with a second condensation-capable group, the silicon particles being covalently bonded to the carbon particles via the condensation reaction product of the first condensation-capable group and the second condensation-capable group. In addition, a method for the production thereof and to an electrode, an electrode material, and a lithium cell is described.

The present invention relates to a silicon precursor compound in an asymmetric structure containing an alkoxide capable of preparing a silicon-containing thin film with high quality, to a method for preparing the same, and to a method for preparing a silicon-containing thin film using the silicon precursor compound in an asymmetric structure containing an alkoxide.
Hexacoordinate pincer complexes and applications thereof
A variety of hexacoordinate pincer complexes are described herein having electronic structure advantageous for electronic and/or optoelectronic applications. In some embodiments, the pincer complexes are luminescent, exhibiting fluorescence and/or phosphorescence. Briefly, a hexacoordinate complex comprises a central atom selected from the group consisting of silicon, germanium, and tin, and two pincer ligands bound to the central atom, wherein the hexacoordinate complex is luminescent. In another aspect, a hexacoordinate complex comprises a central atom selected from the group consisting of silicon, germanium and tin, and two pincer ligands bound to the central atom, wherein the difference between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of the hexacoordinate complex is at least 1.5 eV.
Photodynamic therapy composition
A polymerizable phthalocyanine compound having the formula (I) or a PSMA-targeted phthalocyanine compound conjugate thereof having the formula (V).
MICROPOROUS ZIRCONIUM SILICATE FOR THE TREATMENT OF HYPERKALEMIA
The present invention relates to novel microporous zirconium silicate compositions that are formulated to remove toxins, e.g. potassium ions, from the gastrointestinal tract at an elevated rate without causing undesirable side effects. The preferred formulations are designed avoid increase in pH of urine in patients and/or avoid potential entry of particles into the bloodstream of the patient. Also disclosed is a method for preparing high purity crystals of UZSi-9 exhibiting an enhanced level of potassium exchange capacity. These compositions are particularly useful in the therapeutic treatment of hyperkalemia.
EXCHANGE RESINS FOR IMPURITY REMOVAL
Compositions and methods for impurity removal are provided. A method comprises obtaining a first solution comprising an amino silane compound and a halide impurity. The method comprises contacting the first solution with an anion exchange resin to obtain a second solution. The second solution comprises less of the halide impurity than the first solution.
Silica hollow sphere with a MOF composite layer and method for preparing the same
The present invention relates to the technical field of surface modification of silica, and more particularly to silica hollow sphere with a MOF composite layer and method for preparing the same. The silica hollow sphere comprises: a hollow spherical structure made of silica, an amino-silane layer covalently grafted onto the surface of the core layer, a ZIF-8 crystal layer grown in situ with amino groups serving as nucleation sites, and thiol groups distributed on the outer surface of the MOF crystals. The purpose of the present invention is to provide silica hollow sphere with a MOF composite layer and method for preparing the same. The silica hollow sphere with the composite layer exhibits good compatibility and stability in an LCP matrix, while maintaining low dielectric loss, thereby effectively improving the performance of high-frequency FPCs.
