Method for forming a laminate countertop
A method of forming a laminate countertop includes a step of providing a laminate countertop with at least one substantially square corner having a curved edge profile extending around the at least one square corner. The method further includes steps of: cutting a first angled slot through a portion of a longitudinal side of the countertop; cutting a second angled slot through a portion of a preformed straight edge member connected to a base support along a latitudinal side of the countertop; and cutting a connecting cut between the slots to form a cutout section of the countertop. The method also includes a step of adhering at least one preformed angled edge member including the curved edge profile into the cutout section of the countertop to form at least one angled corner, thereby forming a laminate countertop having an edge profile extending around the at least one angled corner.
Composed element, multi-layered board and panel-shaped element for forming this composed element
A composed element includes at least two panel-shaped elements, which each have an edge zone in which coupling means are present in a profiled part respectively extending in the longitudinal direction of the respective edge zone, and each including an end face extending transversely to the respective edge zone. The profiled parts allow the coupling of the panel-shaped elements together in an interlocking manner. At least one of the panel-shaped elements includes an arrangement which hides from view at least a portion of the profiled part formed at the pertaining edge zone at the location of the end face.
Edge Strip and Method for Its Manufacture
The present invention discloses an edge strip (1,1) for pieces of furniture comprising a main body (2) with an underside (3) that can be attached to a piece of furniture and an upper side (4) facing away from the underside (3), wherein the upper side (4) has at least one transition section (5) sloping down towards an edge of the main body (2). In order to enable an improved visual impression of the edge strip (1, 1) in the transition section, it is provided that the transition section (5) slopes down in a step-like manner towards the edge of the main body (2), wherein the transition section (5) has at least two steps, each with an upper side surface (6, 6a) and an edge side surface (7) per step, wherein the upper side surfaces (6, 6a) is aligned independently of one another in relation to the underside (3) such that the smallest angles of the upper side surfaces (6, 6a) in relation to the underside (3) are each on average from 45 to 75, in particular from 45 to 45 and wherein the edge side surfaces (7) is inclined independently of one another in relation to the underside (3) such that the smallest angles of the edge side surfaces (7) in relation to the underside (3) are each on average from 20 to less than 90, in particular from 46 to less than 90, in particular up to 80.
LAMINATED COUNTERTOP ASSEMBLY
A laminated countertop assembly can include a first generally longitudinal slab with a first substrate, where the first substrate has lamination on a countertop side of the first substrate and lamination on an edge side of the first substrate that extends along a first portion of a length of the edge side of the first substrate. The first substrate can also include a first miter cut angled into the first substrate and slots extending into the first substrate for receiving biscuits. The laminated countertop assembly can also include a second generally longitudinal slab with a second substrate, where the second substrate has lamination on a countertop side of the second substrate and lamination on an edge side of the second substrate. The second substrate can also include a second miter cut at a corner of the second substrate and slots extending into the second substrate for receiving the biscuits.
Extended melt-temp range and low energy absorptive edge banding adhesive system and edge banding
A multi-phasic polymer blend for energy activated edge banding adhesion to a substrate is described. While the blend may be used for adhering edge banding to straight substrates, the blend is preferred for adhering edge banding to contoured substrates. The outer, hard, structural layer of the edge banding is formed from a polypropylene component. The polypropylene component at least includes polypropylene and an optional energy adsorber. The inner adhesion layer of the edge banding is formed from a multi-phasic polymer blend that bonds the outer layer of the edge banding to the substrate. The multi-phasic polymer blend at least includes a polyamide component, a polyolefin component, and a modified polypropylene component. Both the outer and inner layers forming the edge banding may be tinted to conform or contrast with the color of the finished substrate.
PROTECTIVE COVER FOR SUPPORT STRUCTURES
A protective cover that is positionable on a structure such as a table or a piece of laboratory furniture. The cover has at least three support structures positioned on a bottom part of the cover substantially parallel to each other. The protective cover also has at least two substrate fiber cement slabs built of reinforced organic and/or mineral fibers positioned between the support structures. A steel slab having a glassy and/or porcelain finish covers the fiber cement slabs and/or the support structures. The steel slab has three folds on the surface including two folds on the sides that correspond to a 90 angle relative to the flat part of the steel slab and a middle fold located between the side folds and creates a middle groove that forms two cavities at the bottom part of the steel slab.
Modular furniture with tool free assembly
A modular furniture piece with integrated connectors comprises a first module with a plurality of first integrated connectors selectively located thereon. A second module is provided for fastening to the first module, and the second module has a plurality of second integrated connectors located thereon. The first integrated connectors register with the second integrated connectors when the first module and the second module are positioned with respect to each other in their assembled orientation.
METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING A PIECE OF FURNITURE
The invention relates to a system for constructing a piece of furniture, partitions or an exhibition stand, said system comprising at least one supporting structure (10) which has a flat shape and comprises a plurality of side edges (10a, 10b), wherein interfaces (12) embodied and designed for connection to other system components are provided on at least two edges (10a, 10b). At least one adjusting element (14) is interlockingly and/or frictionally attached to the interfaces (12) arranged on the edges (10a, 10b) and pertaining to the at least one supporting structure (10). As a result of the interfaces (12) arranged in the edges (10a, 10b) of the supporting structure (10) and protected by the supporting structure being at least partially built into the supporting structure (10) and arranged in recesses (13) provided in the side edges (10a, 10b), and the at least one adjusting element (14, 14, 14) being attached to the interfaces (12) by means of a mating part to the respective interface (12), a flexible, modular system with interfaces on the edges of a supporting structure is provided, by means of which all of the functions of a piece of furniture can be covered.
