Cyanoacrylic adhesive compositions of the type comprising at least one cyanoacrylic acid ester or one malonic acid ester having an allyl, acrylic or methacrylic group, wherein there is also present at least one radical initiator of the polymerization reaction of the allyl, acrylic or methacrylic ester of cyanoacrylic acid or malonic acid and at least one radical inhibitor of said polymerization reaction. In comparison with known cyanoacrylic adhesive compositions, those according to the invention offer the advantage of maintaining their bonding capability even at high temperatures, in particular up to 150 C.

POLY(CYANOCINNAMATE)S FOR STRUCTURAL AND OPTICAL APPLICATIONS
Methods of preparing poly(cyanocinnamate)s are provided, with those involving mild conditions and resulting in a soluble polymer that is stable at room temperature and can be coated onto microelectronic substrates. The polymer includes at least one bis(cyanoacetate) monomer and at least one aromatic dialdehyde monomer. The polymer exhibits good thermal and structural properties and high absorbance in the UV range.

The present application provides compositions and methods for allowing surfaces such as HDPE, LDPE, polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene), SBS, SEBS, SIS elastomers, and silicone rubber, which are notoriously difficult to apply adhesives, glues, or coatings to, to be treated with a Primer System comprising a cyanoacrylate monomer and non-polar solvent component and an initiator component, wherein the polymerization product of the components is a microstructured polycyanoacrylate layer. The microstructured polycyanoacrylate layer-increases the ability of a glue, adhesive, or coating to adhere to that surface and subsequently allows other materials to be used as coatings on the surface or to be applied using a glue or adhesive.
COMPOSITION FOR SEALING COVERED WIRE
Provided is a composition for sealing a covered wire, the composition containing 2-cyanoacrylate including 10% by mass or more of an alkyl-2-cyanoacrylate that has, in a main chain, an alkyl group having 4 or more carbon atoms, and the composition having both water resistance and thermal shock resistance under high temperature and high humidity conditions and also having excellent heat resistance.

2-cyanoacrylate adhesive composition
Provided is an adhesive composition which exhibits excellent water resistance and warm-water resistance without impairing instantaneous adhesiveness. The 2-cyanoacrylate adhesive composition contains a 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester, and a specific phthalic anhydride derivative, in which the content of the phthalic anhydride derivative is from 0.01 to 5% by mass, relative to the total amount of the adhesive composition. Preferably, the adhesive composition further contains an elastomer.
