Polymeric compositions as pour point depressants for crude oils
Polymeric compositions obtainable by free-radical polymerization of at least two different alkyl (meth)acrylates in the presence of at least one ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer, the alkyl (meth)acrylates used being a mixture comprising alkyl (meth)acrylates having linear C.sub.12- to C.sub.60-alkyl radicals and different alkyl (meth)acrylates having linear C.sub.1- to C.sub.11-alkyl radicals and/or branched C.sub.4- to C.sub.60-alkyl radicals and/or cyclic C.sub.5- to C.sub.20-alkyl radicals. The use of such polymeric compositions as pour point depressants for crude oils, mineral oils or mineral oil products.

Process for Cross-Linked Polyethylene Production
A method of producing a silane cross-linked polyethylene is disclosed which includes maleating a polyethylene polymer to form a maleated polyethylene and reacting the maleated polyethylene with a primary or secondary amino silane to form a silane-grafted polyethylene. The method further includes treating the silane-grafted polyethylene in a moisture curing process to form the silane cross-linked polyethylene.
Polymer Compositions Allowing Easier Handling
The invention relates to a polymer composition that can be obtained by means of the free radical polymerisation of A) 95-40 wt. % of alkyl (meth)acrylate containing Ai) 20-95 wt. % of at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate with 16 to 40 C-atoms in the alcohol group, and Aii) 5-80 wt. % of at least one (meth)acrylic acid ester of a C.sub.8-C.sub.22 alcohol carrying a C.sub.6-C.sub.20 alkyl group in the 2-position relative to the hydroxyl group, in the presence of B) 5-60 wt. % ethylene copolymer. The invention also relates to a method for producing same and to the use of same as a flow improver for mineral oils and mineral oil distillates.

Ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer resin composition, graft copolymer, thermoplastic resin composition, and molded resin article
An ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin composition includes: an (A) ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer; a (B) vinyl copolymer; and a (C) organic peroxide. The (B) vinyl copolymer and the (C) organic peroxide are impregnated in the (A) ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. The (A) ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer includes 1 to 20 wt % of a vinyl acetate. The (B) vinyl copolymer is formed of a (b-1) styrene, (b-2) at least one of acrylonitrile and glycidyl methacrylate, a (b-3) t-butylperoxymethacryloyloxyethyl carbonate, and a (b-4) polymerization initiator. A content of the (C) organic peroxide is 0.1 to 3 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the (A) ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
