R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group with 6 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group with 6 to 20 carbon atoms, or an aryl group with 6 to 20 carbon atoms. n represents an integer of 1 to 50.
Ethyleneimine polymer and method for producing the same
Provided is an ethyleneimine polymer which exhibits excellent close adhesion properties and adhesive properties and has a low water content, and a method for producing the same. An ethyleneimine polymer, in which the number average molecular weight (Mn) of the ethyleneimine polymer measured by gel permeation chromatography in terms of pullulan is 13,000 or more and the value obtained by dividing the weight average molecular weight by the number average molecular weight (weight average molecular weight: Mw/number average molecular weight: Mn=degree of dispersion) of the ethyleneimine polymer is from 1.4 to 3.0.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR GOLF BALL, AND GOLF BALL
A resin composition for golf balls includes (a) an acid-containing copolymer having an amount of acid constituent per 100 wt % of the sum of monomer units in the copolymer that is from 1 to 30 wt %, and (b) an amine-containing polymer having a branched structure. The resin composition imparts golf balls with an excellent rebound resilience and also confers an outstanding durability to repeated impact and an outstanding scuff resistance, making it particularly useful as a cover material in golf balls.
GAS-BARRIER COMPOSITION
A gas-barrier composition including nanocellulose containing at least one of a sulfuric acid group, a sulfo group, or a phosphoric acid group; and a reactive crosslinking agent.
CELL CULTURE SUBSTRATE FOR CULTIVATING ADHERENT CELLS
A cell culture substrate for cultivating adherent cells, including: a substrate (S), a polymer (P) comprising amino groups, which is bonded to the substrate, and a saccharide (Z) having at least two monosaccharide units for attaching the adherent cells, wherein the saccharide (Z) is covalently bonded to the polymer (P) via the amino groups.
Such a cell culture substrate is suitable for cultivating adherent cells and allows the cells to be detached from the cell culture substrate in a gentle manner by adding a saccharide.
Functionalized bile acids for therapeutic and material applications
The subject disclosure is directed to functionalized bile acids, preparation thereof, and usage thereof for therapeutic and material applications. In one embodiment, a method of generating functionalized bile acid materials can comprise directly activating a carboxylic acid of a bile acid compound using a coupling agent comprising an amide or ester compound, thereby generating an intermediate bile acid derivative material. The method can further comprise attaching a functional group material to the intermediate bile acid derivative material by reacting the functional group material and the intermediate bile acid derivative material, thereby generating a functionalized bile acid material.
