An additive elastomeric manufactured part is comprised of extrudates comprised of a reaction product of a multifunctional Michael donor and multifunctional Michael acceptor and a rheological modifier. The additive elastomeric manufactured part may have a high elongation and resistance to heat. Said part may be made by dispensing a mixture of the multifunctional Michael donor, multifunctional Michael acceptor, rheological modifier and a catalyst through a through a nozzle to form an extrudate deposited on a base. The base, nozzle or combination thereof is moved while dispensing the mixture so that there is horizontal displacement between the base and nozzle in a predetermined pattern to form an initial layer of the material on the base. Subsequent layers are then formed on the initial layer by repeating the dispensing and movement on top of the initial layer and layers that follow.

The present disclosure is directed to methods of making a polymer, including exposing a reaction mixture including a strained cyclic unsaturated monomer and an organic initiator to a stimulus to provide an activated organic initiator, whereby the activated organic initiator is effective to polymerize the strained cyclic unsaturated monomer via a 4-membered carbocyclic intermediate to provide a polymer having constitutional units derived from the strained cyclic unsaturated monomer.

A copolymer containing carbazole- and cyanovinylene-based moieties, a photoelectrode comprising a metal oxide substrate and the copolymer as a photoelectrocatalyst component to the photoelectrode, as well as a photoelectrochemical cell including the photoelectrode. Methods of producing the copolymers, and methods of using the photoelectrochemical cell to produce hydrogen gas and oxygen gas through water splitting are also provided.
RESIST UNDERLAYER FILM FORMING COMPOSITION USING A FLUORENE COMPOUND
A resist underlayer film formation composition combining high etching resistance, high heat resistance, and excellent coating properties; a resist underlayer film wherein the resist underlayer film formation composition is used and a method for manufacturing the resist underlayer film; a method for forming a resist pattern; and a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device. The resist underlayer film formation composition is characterized by including the compound represented by Formula (1), or a polymer derived from the compound represented by Formula (1). A semiconductor device is manufactured by: coating the composition on a semiconductor substrate, firing the coated composition, and forming a resist underlayer film; forming a resist film thereon with an inorganic resist underlayer film interposed therebetween selectively as desired; forming a resist pattern by irradiating light or electron radiation and developing; etching the underlayer film using the resist pattern; and processing the semiconductor substrate using the patterned underlayer film.

A oligomer and a lithium battery are provided. The oligomer is obtained by a polymerization reaction of a compound containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated group and a nucleophile compound. The compound containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated group is selected from a group consisting of a maleimide-based compound, an acrylate ester-based compound, a methacrylate ester-based compound, an acrylamide-based compound, a vinylamide-based compound and a combination thereof. The nucleophile compound is selected from a group consisting of monomaleimide, trithiocyanuric acid, hydantoin, hydantoin derivative, thiohydantoin, thiohydantoin derivative and a combination thereof.
GLASSY ORGANIC FRAMEWORK ION-CONDUCTIVE MEMBRANES
Ion-conductive membranes composed of glassy organic frameworks are provided. Also provided are devices incorporating the ion-conductive membranes and methods of making the ion-conductive membranes. The glassy organic framework membranes can be synthesized from nitrile- and/or acetyl-group containing monomers using thermally controlled, step-wise nitrile and/or acetyl trimerization reactions and film casting techniques.
