System, method, and apparatus for attaching structures
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for attaching structures. One system includes: a device having a first structure attached to a second structure; a first polymer coupled to the first structure, wherein the first polymer has a first temperature profile and a first shape; and a second polymer coupled to the second structure. The second polymer has a second temperature profile and a second shape. The second shape interlocks the first shape. The first polymer and the second polymer secure the first structure to the second structure in response to the first polymer and the second polymer being in a first temperature range. The first polymer and the second polymer release the first structure from the second structure in response to the first polymer and the second polymer being in a second temperature range different from the first temperature range.
Adhesion method using thin adhesive layers
The invention relates to a method for adhering flexible substrates, the connecting adhesive layer being formed in a thin manner. The invention further relates to a composite substrate, wherein the two substrates are connected by a thin flexible adhesive layer.
Wrapping web assembly and wrapping method
There is provided a wrapping web (11) having transverse tape assemblies (12) released from a double sided release film (13) and cut to length. The tape assemblies (12) comprise a double sided adhesive tape portion (14) adhered to the baling web (11) and an adhesive tape laminate portion (15) having a release surface overlying the double sided adhesive tape portion (14). The exposed adhesive layer (17) of the adhesive tape (15) permanently adheres to the back surface (24) of the web (11) as it is rolled up. The wrapping web assembly (10) is deployed by unwinding from an accumulator spool into a baling assembly. As the web (11) unspools from the accumulator spool, peel forces are applied to the tape assembly (12) causing separation of the adhesive (14) and double sided adhesive (15) tape portions. This presents an exposed adhesive layer (20) whereby the web (11) can be closed over itself to close the wrapping of a product such as cotton.
PHOSPHOR SHEET, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A PHOSPHOR SHEET, OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AN OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICE
A phosphor sheet (6) is provided comprising the following elements: a first polymer sheet (1) of a first polymer material, which is partially cured, a second polymer sheet (4) of a second polymer material, which is partially cured, and a phosphor layer (4) comprising phosphor particles with a plurality of first phosphor particles, said first phosphor particles convert electromagnetic radiation of a first wavelength range into electromagnetic radiation of a second wavelength range,
wherein
the phosphor layer (3) is sandwiched between the first polymer sheet (1) and the second polymer sheet (4).
Further, a method for the production of a phosphor sheet (6), an optoelectronic device and a method for the production of an optoelectronic device are provided.
ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE SIZING FOR CARBON FIBERS
Disclosed herein is an electrically conductive sized fiber including a fiber and a sizing composition adhered to a surface of the fiber, wherein the sizing composition includes at least one sizing compound and a plurality of graphene oxide nanoparticles, The present disclosure also discloses fiber-reinforced resin composites, articles including fiber-reinforced resin composites and methods of making such electrically conductive sized fiber and articles therefrom.
Lamination film and adhesive therefor
A film structure including: (a) at least one functionalized film layer, wherein the at least one film layer comprises a polar-reactive group polyolefin layer used as an internal layer in the film structure; and (b) a lamination adhesive composition present on, and in contact with, a least a portion of a surface of the internal layer; wherein the green tack value of the adhesive composition is greater than 0.772 Newtons/centimeter; a laminate including the above film structure bonded to a substrate layer; a process for producing the film structure; a process for producing the laminate; and a laminated article made from the above laminate.
TAC Primer Coating with Improved Adhesion
An enhanced primer formulation that may be used in a variety of lens and film laminate applications is disclosed herein. The enhanced primer formulation may be used to enhance adhesion between a film or laminate and a polymerizable or polymerized material.
STRONG ADHESION OF CONDUCTING POLYMERS ON DIVERSE SUBSTRATES
Adhesion of conducting polymers on diverse insulating and conductive substrates via a hydrophilic adhesion layer, where one or more functional groups may be disposed between the substrate and the hydrophilic adhesion layer. Adhesion of the conducting polymers on the substrates is such that adhesion is maintained or substantially maintained in wet physiological environments.
Aromatic polycarbonate polarising lens
Provided is a polarizing lens which is excellent in terms of impact resistance, outer appearance and prevention of eye strain and which exhibits little variation in color tone and transmittance during formation. The polarizing lens is formed by stretching a polyvinyl alcohol film and dyeing it with a dichroic dye, bonding an aromatic polycarbonate sheet to both surfaces of the film by means of an adhesive layer, and then inserting a polarizing sheet, bent to have a spherical or aspherical surface, into a mold, and injecting aromatic polycarbonate thereto, wherein the area in which the dichroic dye seeps from the surface of the polyvinyl alcohol film is not more than a quarter of the thickness of the polyvinyl alcohol film.
USE OF COMPOUNDS HAVING N 2-OXO-1,3-DIOXOLANE-4-CARBOXAMIDE UNITS IN TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVES
A description is given of the use of compounds having n 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxamide units as a reactive component in 2-component adhesives, especially for preparing hydroxypolyurethanes or hydroxypolycarbonates for adhesives applications, where n is a number greater than or equal to 2. A description is also given of corresponding two-component adhesives and adhesive bonding methods. Employed preferably as a second component of the two-component adhesive is a polyfunctional curing agent compound which is preferably selected from polyamines which have two or more amine groups and polyols which have two or more alcoholic hydroxyl groups.
