Laminated films and methods of making and using same
An article comprises a laminate with a layer comprising a first latex composition containing a cross-linker component selected from sulfur, organic peroxide, vulcanizing activators, and vulcanizing accelerator; and a second layer comprising a second latex composition free of the cross-linker component. The laminate is formed by dipping a mold into the first latex composition then into the second latex composition forming a laminated film, then curing the laminated film by heating to a temperature between 90? C. to 140? C. Lastly, the laminated film is removed from the mold via inversion such that the second layer is inwards and the first layer is outwards.
Dipping solution for cord fabrics
The present invention relates to a formaldehyde and resorcinol free dipping solution for cord fabrics and a production method thereof comprising the steps of adding acrylic polymer resin into water (11), adjusting pH value (12), adding epoxy to the composition (13), adding polyisocyanate to the composition (14), adding latex to the composition (15), obtaining the dipping material (16); enabling the synthetic fiber and the rubber used in cord fabric reinforced rubber materials production to be attached to each other by providing an interface between two said materials; not as hazardous as RFL for human health and also being environmentally friendly.
Styrene-based block copolymer latex
A latex of a styrene-based block copolymer includes a styrene-based block copolymer and water. The styrene-based block copolymer includes a toluene insoluble content of 30 to 95 wt %. The latex of the styrene-based block copolymer is superior in the processability and can provide a molded film such as a dip-molded product having the high tear strength, the high stress retention and the soft texture.
DIELECTRIC HEATING OF FOAMABLE COMPOSITIONS
A method for dielectrically heating foamable composition to foam and set the composition is described. In particular, radio frequency (RF) heating is used to heat the foamable composition to provide insulation in the manufacture of an article.
Nanoparticle fillers and methods of mixing into elastomers
A nanoparticle includes a copolymer comprising a vinyl-aromatic monomer and a heterocyclic monomer. The copolymer is crosslinked with a multifunctional crosslinking agent polymerizable through an addition reaction. A nanoparticle and elastomer composition is disclosed. Several methods of mixing heterocyclic and non-heterocyclic monomer nanoparticles into an elastomer are also disclosed. These methods include mixing in a multi-elements static mixer and an intermeshing mixer with venting, among others.
CORROSION-PROTECTIVE JACKET FOR ELECTRODE
An electrical grounding assembly includes an electrically conductive metal grounding plate, and a corrosion-protective jacket enclosing the grounding plate. The jacket is electrically conductive and water impermeable. The electrical grounding assembly further includes an electrically conductive line having a first end in electrical contact with the grounding plate and enclosed in the jacket, and an opposed second end outside of the jacket for connection to a structure to be electrically grounded.
Latex Bonded Textile Fiber Structure for Construction Applications
The present invention relates to a textile fiber structure comprising man-made fibers fortified by a binder comprising a polymer latex obtained from the emulsion polymerization in aqueous medium of a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising: (a) an aliphatic conjugated diene (b) a vinyl aromatic compound; (c) an ethylenically unsaturated silane bearing at least one silicon bonded hydrolysable group, and (d) an ethylenically unsaturated acid
and to its use in construction applications, and to the use of the above binder to fortify textile fiber structures.
Composition Containing Cellulose Nanofibers
Provided are: a rubber composite in which cellulose nanofibers are well-dispersed in rubber and which has favorable characteristics (in particular, storage modulus, etc.) that make it possible to form a vulcanized rubber product having an excellent elastic modulus, excellent wear resistance, etc.; and a cellulose nanofiber-containing composition from which said rubber composite can be formed. Provided is a composition containing cellulose nanofibers and a nonionic surfactant, wherein the nonionic surfactant has, as a hydrophobic moiety, a group that has 6-30 carbon atoms and is an aliphatic or aromatic or a combination thereof.
