The present invention refers to a flame retardant comprising a complex formed by phosphine oxide and transition metal salt, wherein has good flame retardant property. The present invention also refers to a composite flame retardant and flame retardant antistatic composition, wherein composite flame retardant comprise the flame retardant and the inorganic flame retardant component as described above, which has an enhanced flame retardant effect; said flame retardant antistatic composition, comprising above described flame retardant or composite flame retardant and carbon nanofiber antistatic agent, wherein carbon nanofiber antistatic agent could have interaction with flame retardant, effectively reducing the amount of flame retardant, and the combination with the flame retardant without the adverse effect of each other which result in negative performance of each other, does not influence the subsequent foaming process and the foam structure and physical properties. The present invention also further refers to a flame resistant method, which adds the abovementioned flame retardant, composite flame retardant or flame retardant antistatic composition into the material, so that said material has flame retardance or flame retardance and antistatic, and has excellent mechanical properties.

Propylene-based terpolymers for films

A terpolymer containing propylene, ethylene and an alpha olefins of formula CH2=CHZ wherein Z is an hydrocarbon group having from 2 to 10 carbon atoms wherein: (i) the content of ethylene derived units ranges from 0.5 wt % to 5.0 wt %; (ii) the content of alpha olefin derived units ranges from 1.0 wt % to 5.0 wt %; (iii) the area of the DSC curve after the peak of the melting point (Tm) represents more than 22%; of the total area of the DSC curve; (iv) the polydispersity index (PI) ranges from 2.0 to 7.0.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING THERMOSET FOAMS FOR SHOE SOLES

A footwear article is provided. The footwear article includes a shoe sole. The shoe sole includes a crosslinked foam polyolefin elastomer having a density less than 0.88 g/cm.sup.3, the crosslinked foam polyolefin elastomer including: a silane-grafted polyolefin elastomer, a silane-grafted olefin block copolymer, a polyolefin elastomer (POE), an olefin block copolymer (OBC), or a combination thereof; an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer; a crosslinker; a condensation catalyst; and a foaming agent. The shoe sole exhibits a compression set of from about 1.0% to about 50.0%, as measured according to ASTM D 395 (48 hrs @ 50° C.).

The seam tapes can be compatible with polyolefin-based waterproof/breathable (w/b) membranes, including polypropylene (PP) w/b membranes and/or polyethylene (PE) w/b membranes. In methods for forming thermoplastic vulcanizates, and thermoplastic vulcanizates formed by such methods, a masterbatch comprising one or more additives in a carrier resin comprising propylene- or ethylene-based copolymer is added to the thermoplastic vulcanizate formulation. The resulting thermoplastic vulcanizate may additionally be passed through a 200 mesh or finer screen and thereafter extruded. The thermoplastic vulcanizates may exhibit increased extrusion throughput rates and enhanced surface smoothness.

The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising a thermoplastic vulcanizate, a propylene-based elastomer and a foaming agent, and to a foamed material comprising said composition. The present disclosure provides a polymeric membrane. The polymeric membrane includes a first thermoplastic elastomer layer. The thermoplastic elastomer layer includes a filler component that is at least about 30 wt % of the thermoplastic elastomer layer. The polymeric membrane can further include an optional second thermoplastic elastomer layer in contact with the first polyolefin layer.
