Ethylene interpolymer products and films
This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions and films prepared therefrom. Specifically: ethylene interpolymer products having: a dimensionless nonlinear rheology network parameter, Δ.sub.int., greater than or equal to 0.01, satisfying 0.01×(Z−50).sup.0.78≤Δ.sub.int.≤0.01×(Z−60).sup.0.78 inequality wherein Z is a normalized molecular weight defined by
where M.sub.w and M.sub.e are the weight average and entanglement molecular weights, and; a residual catalytic metal of from ≥0.03 to ≤5 ppm of hafnium. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.855 to about 0.975 g/cc, a polydispersity,
from about 1.7 to about 25 and a Composition Distribution Breadth Index (CDBI.sub.50) from about 1% to about 98%.
Foam compositions and uses thereof
Components for articles of footwear and athletic equipment are provided including a foam. A variety of foams and foam components and compositions for forming the foams are provided. In some aspects, the foams and components including the foams can have exceptionally high energy return while also having improved durability and softness. In particular, midsoles including the foams are provided for use in an article of footwear. Methods of making the compositions and foams are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding or injection molding followed by compression molding.
THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITION
An extrusion composition containing at least one resin selected from the group consisting of polypropylene homopolymers, polypropylene random copolymers, and polypropylene impact copolymers. The extrusion composition also contains at least one phosphate ester-based nucleating agent provided in the composition at a use level of between about 0.01 and 0.15 parts by weight, in relation to 100 parts by weight of the resin. The extrusion composition also contains at least one co-additive selected from the group of poly(ethylene glycol) and copolymers containing segments of ethylene oxide, where the co-additive has a number average molecular weight of about 300 or more, and where the use level of the co-additive is about 0.005 parts by weight or more. The extrusion composition further contains a metal salt of a fatty acid at a use level of between about 0.01 and 0.15 parts by weight.
METHOD FOR MAKING A COMPATIBILIZED BLEND FROM A BLEND OF POLYMERIC MATERIAL
A method for making polymeric pellets and films therefrom is disclosed. The polymeric pellets and films include a mixture of at least three distinct polymeric materials along with a compatibilizer and a rheology modifier.
Cellulose-aluminum-dispersing polyethylene resin composite material, pellet and formed body using same, and production method therefor
A cellulose-aluminum-dispersing polyethylene resin composite material, in which a cellulose fiber and aluminum are dispersed into a polyethylene resin, wherein a proportion of the cellulose fiber is 1 part by mass or more and 70 parts by mass or less in a total content of 100 parts by mass of the polyethylene resin, and the cellulose fiber, and wherein water absorption ratio of the composite material satisfies the following formula:
(Water absorption ratio)<(cellulose effective mass ratio).sup.2×0.01; [Formula]: a pellet and a formed body using the composite material, and a method of producing these.

Light-transmissive foam composition and process
A polyolefin foam having improved light-transmittance comprises an average cell size of about 70 microns to about 500 microns; a total cell wall thickness to gauge ratio of between about 0.15 to about 0.55; a basis weight of about 0.00005 lb/in.sup.2 to about 0.00050 lb/in.sup.2; an L color solid value of about 95 to about 45; and a light transmittance of about 10% to about 50% according to JIS K 7361-1. A process for producing a polyolefin foam having improved light-transmittance comprises extruding a foamable sheet at a pressure from about 1 psi to about 55 psi, and foaming the foamable sheet with a foaming agent having an average diameter of about 10 to about 25 microns to produce a foam having a light transmittance of about 10% to about 50% according to JIS K 7361-1.
Bicycle frame
The invention relates to a bicycle frame made by injection molding pellets of a long glass fibre reinforced polypropylene composition having a core containing glass fibres and an impregnating agent and a sheath of polypropylene surrounding said core, wherein the pellets have an average length of at least 1 mm, the amount of the glass fibers is 10 to 70 wt % with respect to the composition and the polypropylene has a flexural modulus determined according to ASTM D790A of at least 1000 N/mm.sup.2.
