Process for epoxidation of unsaturated polymer
A process for epoxidation of an unsaturated polymer involves mixing an unsaturated polymer and a peroxy acid in an absence of solvent to produce an epoxidized polymer. The process may require no solvent, require no catalyst, require no or little applied external heat input, require no applied cooling, require less epoxidation agent, be faster and/or result in more efficient conversion of the unsaturated polymer.
Binder for coating plastics substrates without chemical or physical pretreatment
With the binder produced according to the invention, a number of coating products can be produced which adhere to plastics directly and without any chemical or physical pretreatment. Base coats, high-gloss lacquers, metallic lacquers, clear lacquers and effect lacquers can be produced which can be applied directly on plastics; this is an absolute novelty because pretreatment is no longer required. With the binder according to the invention it is also possible to formulate adhesives which guarantee very good bonding between plastics themselves and also paperboard packaging. The invention relates to the binder as well as base coats based on them, one-coat lacquers and adhesives.
HIGHLY FIRE-RESISTANT EXPANDED POLYMERIC MATERIAL
A highly fire-resistant expanded polymeric material for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation and/or fire barrier contains rubber, expandable graphite, at least one alkaline earth metal component selected from alkaline earth metal carbonates, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, hydrates of either, and combinations thereof, and a component containing silica or a silicate. The expanded polymeric material is preferably manufactured by a process including decomposition of a chemical blowing agent.
Expansion system for flexible insulation foams
A flexible material for thermal and acoustical insulation comprising an expanded polymer (blend) based on at least one elastomer, wherein expansion is achieved by decomposition of a mixture of at least two chemical blowing agents, comprising the exothermic chemical blowing agent 4,4-Oxybis(benzenesulfonyl hydrazide) (OBSH) and at least one endothermic blowing agent.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING FOAMED ARTICLES MADE FROM ETHYLENE/ALPHA-OLEFIN INTERPOLYMERS
The present disclosure is directed to a process for preparing foamed articles comprising at least one ethylene/-olefin interpolymer and use of the foamed articles in various applications, such as footwear applications. The ethylene/-olefin interpolymers of the present disclosure are multi-block copolymers comprising at least one soft block and at least one hard block.
FLUOROCARBON RESIN COMPOSITION AND PREPREG AND COPPER FOIL SUBSTRATE USING THE SAME
A fluorocarbon resin composition is applicable to produce high-frequency circuit boards including a polytetrafluoroethylene resin; a fluorine-containing copolymer such as poly fluoroalkoxy and fluorinated ethylene propylene; low molecular-weight PTFE micro-powders and inorganic powders; in particular the temperature of pressing copper foil substrates is lowered from 350 C. to 250 C. via a lowering temperature rate of 1 to 4 C./min to improve the crystallinity of the fluorocarbon resin composition as well as improve the copper foil substrate with a high thermal conductivity and a wide range of dielectric constant.
FLUOROCARBON PREPREG AND RESIN COMPOSITION THEREOF
A fluorocarbon resin composition is applicable to produce a prepreg for use in making a high-frequency circuit board, including a polytetrafluoroethylene resin; a fluorine-containing copolymer of poly fluoroalkoxy or fluorinated ethylene propylene; inorganic powders and an impregnation additive such as hydroxyethyl cellulos; resulted in that the prepreg is capable of increasing a plurality of times for proceeding impregnation-coating, the surface defects prone to occur on a fluorocarbon prepreg during drying, baking and sintering after impregnation are therefore improved at the same time.
POLYMER COMPOSITION WITH IMPROVED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
A composition including a melt blend of at least one thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and at least one non-crosslinked elastomer and optionally at least one catalyst for catalyzing chain extension and/or crosslinking and/or coupling reactions of the at least one non-crosslinked elastomer. Further, a method for producing a polymer composition, to a shaped article including a substrate layer composed of the composition, to a method producing a shaped article, and to a method for covering a roof using the shaped articles.
RESIN SYRINGE, PREFILLED SYRINGE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN SYRINGE
A resin syringe comprises: a syringe body made of polyolefin, and a printing layer printed on at least a part of an outer surface of the syringe body, wherein the printing layer comprises components including chlorinated polypropylene having a degree of chlorination in a range of 15 to 30%, a colorant, and a filler, wherein a plurality of recessed portions are formed in the outer surface of the syringe body on which the printing layer is printed, and wherein each of the plurality of recessed portions has a depth of 50 nm or more and less than 1 m and a width of 50 nm or more and less than 1 m and is filled with at least one of the components of the printing layer.
CURABLE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR OPTICAL FILMS, OPTICAL FILM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A curable resin composition for optical films comprises an active-energy-ray-curable component (A) and a chlorinated polyolefin (B). It is preferred that the chlorinated polyolefin (B) has a chlorine content of 25 to 50% by weight. It is also preferred that a ratio by weight of the active-energy-ray-curable component (A) to the chlorinated polyolefin (B) is from 100/1 to 100/40.
