METHOD FOR PRODUCING PETROLEUM-BASED PROCESS OILS

A method for producing a low-viscosity high-aromatic non-carcinogenic petroleum-based process oil which can be used as a plasticizer oil or an extender oil in the manufacture of synthetic rubber and tyres is described. The oil is obtained from by-product fractions of secondary petrochemical processes by fractional distillation, wherein the used by-product fractions of secondary petrochemical processes are products of catalytic cracking, or products of catalytic reforming, or aromatic extracts, or mixtures thereof, which have an initial boiling point of no less than 200° C. and above and a final boiling point of no less than 360° C. at atmospheric pressure, and contain no less than 85% of aromatic constituents and no more than 10.0 mg/kg of the sum of the following polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons: benz[a]anthracene; chrysene; benzo[b]fluoranthene; benzo[i]fluoranthene; benzo[k]fluoranthene; benzo[e]pyrene; benzo[a]pyrene; and dibenzo[a,h]anthracene.

A construction material comprises a watertight sheet material of a mixture of a plastic and at least one additive. The plastic comprises at least substantially polyvinyl butyral (PVB). At least a fire retardant containing ammonium polyphosphate is added thereto as additive. Use is particularly made of recycled polyvinyl butyral.

The polyurethane adhesive has an A-side that includes an isocyanate and a non-reactive plasticizer, and a B-side that includes an aliphatic polyester polyol, a non-polyester polyol, and a urethane catalyst. The A-side and the B-side are reacted at a volume ratio of 1:1 and formulated at an NCO/OH index within the range of 0.90 to 1.10. The polyurethane adhesive is solvent-free and is particularly suitable for adhering a polymeric membrane to a substrate.

The polyurethane adhesive has an A-side that includes an isocyanate and a non-reactive plasticizer, and a B-side that includes an aliphatic polyester polyol, a non-polyester polyol, and a urethane catalyst. The A-side and the B-side are reacted at a volume ratio of 1:1 and formulated at an NCO/OH index within the range of 0.90 to 1.10. The polyurethane adhesive is solvent-free and is particularly suitable for adhering a polymeric membrane to a substrate.

A sealing member according to the present invention is a sealing member against a synthetic oil containing an ester-type additive, and includes 95.0% by mass or more and 99.5% by mass or less of a para-phenylene diisocyanate-based polyurethane and 0.5% by mass or more and 5% by mass or less of a same compound as the ester-based additive. The sealing member according to the present invention has a smaller friction coefficient and more excellent deformability than conventional sealing members and that can inhibit swelling caused by a synthetic oil.
