Antimicrobial complexes
The invention generally relates to certain antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal or antiviral compounds. More particularly, the invention relates to certain antimicrobial antibacterial, antifungal and/or antiviral compounds, their syntheses and compositions, and methods of use thereof.
Sealing film suitable for food packaging and preparation method thereof
A sealing film suitable for food packaging is disclosed, which adopts the following solution. The sealing film comprises, in sequence, a PET layer, a VMPET layer and a PE layer from outside to inside, wherein the PE layer comprises 100-110 parts of PE, 15-20 parts of EVA, 15-20 parts of EAA, 55-60 parts of HDPE and 10-15 parts of LLDPE in parts by mass. In this manner, the addition of HDPE and LLDPE into the PE layer is intended to enhance the tensile strength of the sealing film.
Vehicle interior protective coating
A composition is provided comprising a high viscosity amino functional silicone fluid, a silicone glycol copolymer, an aqueous-based intumescent flame retardant, and an aqueous-based concentrated cationic fluoropolymer system that cures at ambient temperatures. The composition is characterized by providing a protective coating and enhancing the appearance of a wide variety of porous and non-porous vehicle interior material surfaces, including rubber, vinyl, fabric, carpeting, metal, metal alloys, chrome, leather, carbon fiber, aluminum, different grains of wood, dashboard tech screens, plastic made from renewable sources, and plastic made from non-renewable sources.

Composition of a timber formulation comprising Cu salts and organic cyclic ingredients for the preservation of timber for decks
This invention relates to a composition, a process for producing a composition, a timber formulation, a process for producing a timber formulation, a construction comprising the timber formulation and a use of the construction comprising the timber formulation are herein disclosed. The composition can include a Cu-salt, a first cyclic organic compound comprising a B heteroatom and at least one further B-free cyclic organic compound. The composition and timber formulation herein disclosed are designed as wood preservatives and may be used as part of a timber preserving treatment.
Non-yellowing easy-to-clean antimicrobial plastic
An additive that is incorporated into a thermoplastic acrylic pre-polymer formulation to render the polymer surface hydrophilic with easy cleanability and also making the surface antimicrobial. The additive is a hydrophilic reactive additive or (“HRA”), is incorporated with the other acrylic formulation components and polymerized into the acrylic polymer backbone. This reaction ensures that there will be no loss of hydrophilicity after repeated contact of the easy to clean acrylic sheet with water, as is typically happens with most sanitary ware products.
Stable aqueous dispersions of biocides
An aqueous dispersion containing BIT and IPBC prepared using nonionic and anionic surfactants exhibits both chemical and physical stability and is suitable for use as a single product which is capable of imparting to a coating composition a high level of resistance against attack by a broad spectrum of organisms, including bacteria, fungi and algae, in both the wet-state and dry film-state.
MULTI-LAYER SELF-ADHESIVE SURFACE PROTECTION FILM AND METHODS OF USE
Embodiments of the present invention relate to pressure-sensitive adhesive plastic film or sheet optionally having antimicrobial properties. The film or sheet can be applied to numerous frequent use objects and finds particular utility in the health care field. The pressure-sensitive adhesive plastic film or sheet can be supplied in pads that can be applied to both the outermost, or patient, side of the face shield, or it can be applied to the innermost, or healthcare professional, surface. After the object, such as a face shield, has been used, the top layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive plastic can be removed and discarded.
BIOCIDAL INFUSED COMPOSITE FABRIC FOR CABIN INTERIORS
A biocidal composite wall or surface fabric installable within an aircraft cabin or other vehicle interior space includes a flexible woven layer. The woven layer is treated on its outer surface with a biocidal polymer coating. For example, the polymer coating may incorporate biocidal microcapsules or nanocapsules configured for controlled release of biocidal compounds in response to physical contact or other stimuli. The released biocidal compounds compromise or kill microbial compounds deposited on the outer surface, e.g., via physical contact by passengers or crewmembers. The woven layer includes additional biocidal molecules incorporated into its fibers and strands, the biocidal molecules capable of biocidal action in response to contact with the fabric.
Composition, polymer composite article formed therewith, and method of preparing same
A composition and a method for preparing a polymer composite article. The composition comprises (A) a filler in an amount of from 10 to 90 wt. The composition also comprises (B) a polymer in an amount of from 10 to 90 wt %, wherein the (B) polymer is selected from polyolefins, polyamides, polyesters, or combinations thereof. Further, the composition comprises (C) an organopolysiloxane in an amount of from greater than 0 to 10 wt. %; the (C) organopolysiloxane having at least one silicon-bonded hydroxyl group and a viscosity of from 1,000 to 60,000 mPa.Math.s at 25° C. The ranges for components (A)-(C) are based on the total weight of components (A), (B) and (C) in the composition.
