Coating Compositions and Methods, and Articles Coated with Same
Described are sealing primer compositions that can be used to reduce paint defects such as pops or vapor boil on painted plastic substrates, as well as related methods for sealing plastic substrates, and sealed plastic substrates. Sealing primer compositions of the invention include a functionalized polydiene polymer such as a hydroxylated or other functional-group-containing polybutadiene polymer.
Resin composition, production method for resin composition, and molded body using resin composition
There is provided a resin composition, comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and a nonionic surfactant, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer has an ethylene unit content of 15 to 60 mol %, and a saponification degree of 90 mol % or more; the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is contained as a major component; and the nonionic surfactant is contained at 3 to 400 ppm. The resin composition is produced by melt-kneading a mixture comprising the nonionic surfactant, water and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. By using the resin composition thus produced, a discharge amount during melt molding can be increased and a molded article with an excellent appearance can be provided.

Cellulose Ester Composition and Process For Producing Articles Therefrom
A process is disclosed for combining a cellulose ester polymer with a plasticizer. The cellulose ester polymer is in the form of particles and is combined with a wetting agent and the plasticizer while mixing. The wetting agent dramatically improves the ability of the cellulose ester particles and plasticizer to form a homogeneous mixture. During melt processing, in one embodiment, the wetting agent is volatilized and does not remain in the final product.

ADHESIVE SHEET
Provided is a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet that can temporarily fix an adherend in a peelable manner, the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet being free from requiring the application of high-output laser light at the time of the peeling of the adherend and being capable of eliminating the need for a step of washing the adherend after the peeling. The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the present invention includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer containing a UV absorber and an active energy ray-curable pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has a transmittance of 50% or less for light having a wavelength of 355 nm. In one embodiment, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a thickness of 20 μm or less. In one embodiment, the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has a visible light transmittance of 50% or more.
REJUVENATING AGENTS FOR ASPHALT RECYCLING
The present invention relates to a binder composition comprising a bituminous binder and at least one rejuvenating agent. The present invention further relates to a method for evaluating the efficiency of a rejuvenating agent in a binder composition.

Fluorine-free polymer processing aid blends
Provided herein are polymer compositions comprising a polymer and polymer processing aid (PPA) comprising a blend of at least two of: (i) a polyethylene glycol; (ii) a surfactant comprising a sorbitan ester or a polysorbate; and (iii) a metal salt of a fatty acid. The polymer can be a C.sub.2-C.sub.6 olefin homopolymer or a copolymer of two or more C.sub.2-C.sub.20 α-olefins, and the polymer composition can take the form of polymer pellets; a polymer melt; reactor-grade polymer granules and/or polymer slurries; or other form of polymer composition containing the PPA and optionally one or more other additives. The polymer composition is preferably free or substantially free of fluorine, including fluoropolymer-based PPAs.
