EPOXY RESIN SYSTEM HAVING PHASE SEPARATION STRUCTURE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to an epoxy resin system having a phase separation structure, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. After mixing an epoxy resin, an amine curing agent and an epoxy diluent, pre-polymerization is carried out to obtain a prepolymer 1; or, after mixing an epoxy resin and an amine curing agent, pre-polymerization is carried out to obtain a prepolymer 1; after mixing an epoxy resin, an anhydride curing agent and an accelerator, polymerization is carried out to obtain a prepolymer 2; and after the prepolymer 1 and the prepolymer 2 are mixed, curing is carried out to obtain an epoxy resin system having a phase separation structure. The present invention controls the formation of a thermosetting epoxy resin system having a phase separation structure by means of preparing different epoxy resin pre-polymerization systems and using an interface reaction between the different pre-polymerization systems.

FOAMABLE CHLORINATED VINYL CHLORIDE-BASED RESIN PARTICLES, FOAMED PARTICLES THEREOF, CHLORINATED VINYL CHLORIDE-BASED RESIN FOAM MOLDED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FOAMABLE CHLORINATED VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN PARTICLES
Expandable chlorinated vinyl chloride-based resin particles from which a chlorinated vinyl chloride-based resin foamed molded product achieving both high expansion ratio and excellent surface appearance are provided. The expandable chlorinated vinyl chloride-based resin particles have a porosity of not more than 5.5 (ml/100 g).
MODIFIED LIGNIN PRODUCTS FOR RIGID FOAMS
Modified lignin products, processes for making them, and their use to produce rigid polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foams are disclosed. The processes comprise heating a lignin source with a nitrogen source and a starved concentration of a C.sub.1-C.sub.5 aldehyde to give a reaction mixture comprising a Mannich condensation product, neutralizing the reaction mixture, and isolating the modified lignin product. The process is performed at a mass ratio of lignin source to nitrogen source within the range of 1:1 to 1:5 and at a molar ratio of nitrogen source to C.sub.1-C.sub.5 aldehyde within the range of 3.5:1 to 1:1. Polyol blends and performance additives that contain the modified lignin products are described. Rigid foams that process well and incorporate up to 60 wt.%, based on the amount of polyol component, of the modified lignin contribute to excellent flame retardancy and low-temperature R-value performance.
Cellulose Ester Composition and Process For Producing Articles Therefrom
A process is disclosed for combining a cellulose ester polymer with a plasticizer. The cellulose ester polymer is in the form of particles and is combined with a wetting agent and the plasticizer while mixing. The wetting agent dramatically improves the ability of the cellulose ester particles and plasticizer to form a homogeneous mixture. During melt processing, in one embodiment, the wetting agent is volatilized and does not remain in the final product.
