SILYL-TERMINATED RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
There are provided a silyl-terminated resin composition and a method for producing the same, the silyl-terminated resin composition being superior in storage stability before curing and providing a cured product which has a low initial modulus and can maintain the low modulus even after a heat-accelerated test. The silyl-terminated resin composition comprises a surface-treated calcium carbonate and a silyl-terminated resin, wherein the surface-treated calcium carbonate is obtained by surface-treating calcium carbonate having a BET specific surface area in the range of 1 m.sup.2/g to 60 m.sup.2/g with a fatty acid, and has an alkali metal content in the range of 500 μg/g to 2000 μg/g and the free fatty acid as determined by ethanol extraction in the range of 1.8 to 2.5% by mass.
Thermally Conductive Sheet
The thermally conductive sheet includes a sheet-like formed body produced by curing a mixed composition containing an uncured polymer matrix, a flat graphite powder, and a thermally conductive filler having an aspect ratio of 2 or less, flat surfaces of particles of the flat graphite powder being aligned in a thickness direction of the sheet. The thermally conductive sheet contains the thermally conductive filler together with the flat graphite powder and thus contains the thermally conductive material densely charged and has good flexibility and good tackiness on the surfaces of the sheet.

Provided is a pneumatic tire including a tread formed from a rubber composition highly improving wet-grip performance, dry-grip performance, and durability while maintaining a good balance therebetween. A pneumatic tire including a tread formed from a rubber composition, the composition containing 90% by mass or more of a diene rubber per 100% by mass of the rubber component, the composition further containing a hydrogenated terpene aromatic resin obtained by hydrogenation of double bonds of a terpene aromatic resin, the hydrogenated terpene aromatic resin having a degree of hydrogenation of double bonds of 5-100% and a hydroxyl value of 20 mg KOH/g or less, the hydrogenated terpene aromatic resin being present in an amount of 1-50 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber, the composition further containing specific inorganic filler in an amount of 1-70 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber.
RUBBER MIXTURES WITH IMPROVED PROPERTIES
The invention relates to a rubber mixture comprising rubber and a liquid polybutadiene, liquid at a temperature of 20° C. and a pressure of 98.0665 kPa, wherein the liquid polybutadiene only consists of C— and H-atoms, and has an average molecular weight (Mw), determined by gel permeation chromatography as described in the description, of from 1500 to 5000 g/mol, to a process for preparing rubber articles by vulcanization using the inventive rubber mixtures as raw material, and to rubber articles obtained by this process.
A COMPOSITION FORMED FROM A CALCIUM CARBONATE-COMPRISING MATERIAL AND A GRAFTED POLYMER
A composition includes a calcium carbonate-comprising material and from 0.1 to 8 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the calcium carbonate-comprising material, of at least one grafted polymer comprising at least one succinic anhydride group obtained by grafting maleic anhydride onto a homo- or copolymer including butadiene units and optionally styrene units and/or salty reaction products thereof a polyester mixture including the composition, a polyester product prepared from the polyester mixture, a process for preparing the polyester product as well as the use of the at least one grafted polymer to decrease the melt flow rate of such a polyester product and an article formed from the polyester product.
TIRE
Provided is a tire comprising a tread part, the tread part comprising at least one rubber layer of a rubber composition comprising a rubber component and a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein a ratio (W.sub.T/W.sub.L) of a tire weight W.sub.T (kg) to a maximum load capacity W.sub.L (kg) of the tire is 0.0180 or less, wherein, in a dynamic viscoelasticity test (temperature-dependent measurement at 10 Hz) in accordance with JIS K 6394, the thermoplastic elastomer exhibits a tan δ peak value in a range of −20° C. to 20° C., and the peak value is 1.00 or more. While being lightweight, the tire can improve in ride comfort and particularly suppress deterioration of ride comfort due to abrasion.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE
Provided is a rubber composition having excellent wear resistance while having good low heat generating properties. The rubber composition contains a rubber component and carbon black, where the rubber component contains natural rubber and butadiene rubber, a proportion of the natural rubber is less than 80% by mass, a content of the carbon black is 40 parts by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and when carbon blacks A, B and C are defined under predetermined conditions, the carbon black contains at least the carbon black A and the carbon black B, and a content of the carbon black C is 0 or the smallest among the carbon blacks A to C.
LOW REFLECTANCE DUAL CURE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS
A dual-cure adhesive composition that exhibits very low visible light reflectance when in a cured condition. The adhesive is curable by electromagnetic radiation and temperature at or above room temperature. Due to the very low visible light reflectance, the adhesive is particularly applicable to optical products that demand minimal interference with visible light transmission.
ENERGY SAVING SELF-CLEANING ROOF PAINT
A paint composition for forming energy saving self-cleaning coatings includes water, a binder composition, a powder catalyst composition, a first pigment composition, a second pigment composition, and a fluoropolymer-composition. The binder composition includes a first acrylic resin having an average particle size from about 0.2 to 1 micron and a glass transition temperature less than about 10° C. The powder catalyst composition includes anatase titanium dioxide with a surface area from about 50 to 500 m.sup.2/g. It should be appreciated that anatase provides catalyst activity that is useful for providing the self-cleaning properties of the present embodiment. The first pigment composition includes rutile titanium dioxide which typically has low or no catalytic activity while the second pigment composition is different than the first pigment composition. Characteristically, the fluoropolymer-containing composition includes polyvinylidene fluoride and a second acrylic resin.
