METHOD FOR REGENERATING ASPHALT AND/OR BITUMEN CONTAINING DEBRIS
A method for regenerating asphalt and/or bitumen containing debris, which allows to recycle more bulk material and optionally binding agents.
Sterol additive in asphalt pavement
Pavement aging can be reduced by applying to an asphalt-containing pavement a topcoat layer or a surface treatment containing asphalt binder with sterols.
ASPHALT SHINGLE WASTE-FILLED POLYMER-MODIFIED ASPHALT COATINGS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Roofing shingles are provided herein. A roofing shingle comprises a substrate, an asphalt filled coating on the substrate, and granules on the asphalt filled coating. The asphalt filled coating comprises an asphalt, a polymer modifier, at least 50% by weight of an asphalt shingle waste based on a total weight of the asphalt filled coating, and 40% by weight or less of at least one filler based on the total weight of the asphalt coating. Roofing systems and related methods are also provided herein.
Asphalt recycling method
An asphalt paving mixture comprising aggregate; liquid asphalt; recycled asphalt material in an amount greater than 10% by weight of said mixture; and an amount from about 0.5% to about 20%, by weight of said liquid asphalt of a recycled asphalt pavement rejuvenating additive, said additive comprising a mixture of amine and glycol is used to form pavement. Incorporation of the recycled asphalt pavement rejuvenating additive permits higher amounts of recycled asphalt material in the mixture to be used to form pavement.
RECOVERED ASPHALT BINDER AND METHODS
A recovered asphalt binder with improved solubility and characteristics for use as filler to extend grade of base/virgin asphalt and related methods are described. A recovered asphalt binder with improved solubility, stiffening or softening, and performance-enhancing characteristics for use as modifier to upgrade base/virgin asphalt and related methods are described. Recovered asphalt binder with improved solubility, stiffening or softening, performance-enhancing and elastic characteristics for use as modifier to upgrade base/virgin asphalt and/or reduce polymer requirements and related methods are described. A recovered asphalt binder intermediately blended with one or more additives for use as filler to extend grade of base/virgin asphalt and related methods are described. Modified asphalt products made using a recovered asphalt binder and related methods are described.
COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING ASPHALT COMPONENT AND GRAPHITE COMPONENT
A composition that includes asphalt component; and graphite component.
POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION
A polyethylene composition includes at least one of (a) a first ethylene-based polymer and (b) a second ethylene-based polymer; and (c) 100 and 5000 ppm, preferably 500 and 2500 ppm, of 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)-1,2-propanediol, with regard to the total weight of the polyethylene composition. Such composition allows for providing a high oxidation induction temperature in combination with suppressed occurrence of yellowing of a polyethylene, in particular where a post-consumer recycle polyethylene is used in the composition.
Sterol blends as an additive in asphalt binder
Disclosed are asphalt binder compositions and methods for making such compositions with pure sterol:crude sterol blends. The sterol blends improve various rheological properties.
ASPHALT EMULSION SURFACE TREATMENT CONTAINING STEROL
Pavement aging can be reduced by applying to an asphalt-containing pavement a topcoat layer or a surface treatment containing asphalt binder emulsion with sterols.
