DEVICE FOR JOINING OF PARTS OF FURNITURE AND FURNISHING ACCESSORIES
A joining device for parts of furniture and furnishing accessories includes a casing or container body suitable for being inserted in a seat formed in one of the components of the item of furniture to be joined and provided with an expansion bushing externally projecting with respect to a first end or front end of said casing or container body and suitable for engaging with a further seat of a further component of the item of furniture to be joined to the component wherein the casing or container body is inserted. Said joining device includes a cam mechanism for a linear motion of actuation means co-operating in an expansion and retraction deformation movement of the expansion bushing and simultaneous expansion of at least one portion of said casing or container body, with said cam mechanism and actuation means housed in the casing or container body and actuated by a tool.
FURNITURE WITH FLEXIBLE DOVETAIL DOWEL AND SLOT JOINT
An improved joint is provided for modular furniture. The joint includes a dowel and slot. The dowel is held in the slot tightly to provide stiffness to the joint. The dowel may include a flanged head which is bent elastically by the slot when the dowel is fully inserted into the slot. The head of the dowel may be maintained in a bent configuration when the joint is in assembled configuration.
DOUBLE CONNECTOR FOR BUTT-JOINING TWO PARTS
A double connector for butt-joining two components includes two connector components which can be pushed together as far as a locked assembly position and which each have an spreadable first end portion for inserting into a hole of a component, and a second end portion for spreading the first end portion of the other connector component in each case in the assembly position and at least one locking portion for interlocking the two connector components in the assembly position.
DEVICE FOR JOINING PARTS OF FURNITURE AND FURNISHING ACCESSORIES
A joining device for parts of furniture and furnishing accessories, of the shelf unit, bookcase, drawer unit, bed frame, seating type and the like, includes a casing or container body suitable for being inserted in a seat formed in one of the components of the item of furniture to be joined and is provided with an expansion bushing externally projecting with respect to a first end or front open end of said casing or container body and suitable for engaging with a further seat of a further component of the item of furniture to be joined to the component wherein the casing or container body is inserted. Said joining device includes a cam mechanism for a linear motion of actuation means co-operating in an expansion deformation movement of the expansion bushing and simultaneous expansion of at least one portion of said casing or container body.
DOUBLE CONNECTOR FOR BUTT-CONNECTING TWO COMPONENTS
A double connector for butt-connecting two components includes a guide bolt having a respective bolt section tapering in the direction of each bolt end on both sides of a middle bolt section. Two spreading sockets are movably guided on the guide bolt and which in each case can be pushed together from an outer socket end position toward the middle bolt section into a mounted position. The two spreading sockets are latched against being pushed back, wherein the spreading sockets each have at least one spreading tab which is expanded outwardly via the guide bolt in the mounted position.
Slide-in fastener for use in cabinet assembly
A system for slide-in fastening includes a first furniture member including slide-in dowels, each including a cut-out surface, an entry cut, a rear cut; a second furniture member with slide-in apertures, each including an entry opening and interior, and a target opening and interior, such that the dowels insert into entry interiors and slide sideways into the target interiors to hold the first and second furniture members securely together. Also disclosed are a method of manufacturing a slide-in dowel, including inserting the slide-in dowel, and machining an exposed front cut-out; and a method of manufacturing a slide-in dowel, including inserting, moving horizontally, and extracting a slide-in drill bit.
Framed full access cabinet
A full access frame can be designed with a thin frame with stiles that are about half the width of conventional stiles, such that inner sides of the stiles and rails include hidden/blind connection points to facilitate hidden or blind mounting of the full access frame to cabinet sides with mounted dowel connectors that attach to the hidden/blind connection points. A framed full access cabinet includes a full access frame mounted on front of a cabinet box, such that drawer rails and door hinges can be mounted on inner cabinet sides of the cabinet box. The dowel connectors and the hidden/blind connection points can be respectively slide-in dowels and slide-in inserts or alternatively snap-in dowels and snap-in inserts.
Snap-in fastener for use in cabinet assembly
A system for snap-in fastening includes a first furniture member including snap-in dowels, each including a cut-out surface with ribs, an entry cut, a rear cut; a second furniture member with snap-in inserts, each including an entry opening and interior with ribs, such that the dowels insert into entry interiors to lock the first and second furniture members securely together with interlocking ribs.
Device for joining of parts of furniture and furnishing accessories
A joining device for parts of furniture and furnishing accessories, including a casing or container body suitable for being inserted in a seat formed in one of the components of the item of furniture to be joined and provided with an expansion bushing externally projecting with respect to an open end of the casing or container body and suitable for engaging with a further seat of a further component of the item of furniture to be joined to the component wherein the casing or container body is inserted, the joining device which includes a cam mechanism for a linear and reciprocated motion of an actuation unit co-operating in an expansion deformation movement of the expansion bushing and in a backward and traction movement of the same expansion bushing, with the cam mechanism and the actuation unit housed in the casing or container body and actuated by a tool.
CONNECTING EXPANSION BOLTS OVER-MOLDED WITH EXPANSION SLEEVES
A connecting expansion bolt over-molded with an expansion sleeve includes a bolt head at one bolt end and a bolt cone tapering in the direction of the bolt head. At the other bolt end, the bolt cone and an adjoining bolt shaft portion are over-molded with a plastic expansion sleeve, the sleeve end of which that surrounds the bolt cone is divided into a plurality of spreadable sleeve segments by open-ended slits. Provision is made for the sleeve end that surrounds the bolt cone to be divided into at least three sleeve segments. For at least two of the slits on the bolt cone that separate the sleeve segments from one another do not extend parallel to the bolt axis.
