The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pigment composition having outstanding dispersion characteristics, weather resistance, and heat resistance, has favorable storage stability, minimizes fading over time in a basic atmosphere, and contains isoindoline compounds.

The pigment composition contains the isoindoline compound represented by formula (1) below and the isoindoline compound represented by formula (2) below.

REVERSIBLY THERMOCHROMIC COMPOSITION AND REVERSIBLY THERMOCHROMIC MICROCAPSULE PIGMENT ENCAPSULATING THE SAME

[Problems] To provide a reversibly thermochromic composition having excellent contrast between a colored state and a decolored state, and excellent light resistance, and a reversibly thermochromic microcapsule pigment encapsulating the reversibly thermochromic composition.

[Solution] Disclosed is a reversibly thermochromic composition including: (a) an electron-donating color-developing organic compound; (b) a combination of a compound having a specific structure as an electron-accepting compound; and (c) a reaction medium which reversibly induces an electron transfer reaction between the component (a) and the component (b) in a specific temperature range, and a reversibly thermochromic microcapsule pigment encapsulating the reversibly thermochromic composition.

An optical filter includes: a transparent substrate; and an absorption layer on the transparent substrate, the absorption layer containing at least one dye (X) having a maximum absorption wavelength in 600 to 1000 nm. A laminate of the transparent substrate and the absorption layer satisfies all of the following characteristics (i-2) to (i-4): (i-2) a maximum internal transmittance in 700 to 850 nm is 35% or lower; (i-3) a difference between the maximum internal transmittance and a minimum internal transmittance in 700 to 850 nm is 20% or smaller; and (i-4) OD(A) and OD(B) satisfy the following relationship: OD(A)/OD(B)<0.07 where OD(A) is an average optical density of an internal transmittance in 500 to 600 nm and OD(B) is an average optical density of an internal transmittance in 700 to 850 nm.

The invention discloses a special-purpose reactive disperse dye for waterless dyeing of natural fibers in supercritical CO.sub.2 fluid and an intermediate thereof. The reactive disperse dye has a longer alkane-chain bridging group between a chromophoric parent structure and an active group of the dye, which effectively promotes the donating-withdrawing effect on the electron cloud in the conjugated system, enhances the hyperchromic effect, effectively reduce the influence of the active group itself and its reaction on the dye coloring system, improves the color and stability against acid and alkali of the dye, and facilitate the improvement of the compatibility of the dye with supercritical fluid and the dyeing performance for natural fibers as well.
