Modular building blocks may be used to provide furniture or other items. Each modular building block has a number of interleaved layers that provide first and second arms of the building block. Each modular building block comprises a first engageable finger section formed from one or more of the interleaved layers and a second engageable finger section formed from two or more interleaved layers. The second engageable finger section of one modular building block receives the first engageable finger section of another modular building block allowing various arrangements to be assembled.

An assembled product includes at least three elements arranged in three different planes. A first element is connected perpendicular to a second element, and a third element is connected perpendicular to the second element. The assembled product includes one or more locking devices, each comprising a flexible tongue arranged in an insertion groove one of the at least three elements. The flexible tongue cooperates with a tongue groove, at an adjacent one of the at least three elements, for locking the one element and the adjacent element together. A second edge of the second element is connected to a second edge of the third element by a first of said locking devices.

A cabinet that hangs on a wall and directs forces in such a manner so as to provide a stronger assembly. The cabinet includes a front frame, joinery, and a plurality of panels. The joinery attaches some of the plurality of panels to each other and to the front frame, and directs the forces from the some of the plurality of panels to the front frame so as to provide the stronger assembly.

A composed element, such as a piece of furniture, wherein the composed element comprises at least a rear wall, as well as a number of constructional parts forming a whole in which the rear wall has to be provided. The rear wall forms the rear side of the composed element and includes one or more rear wall parts. The composed element comprises seats for installing at least one of the rear wall parts, which are configured such that the rear wall part can be slid into the seats starting from the rear side of the composed element from a position differing from the final plane in which the rear wall part will be situated in the final condition.

A modular enclosure system includes a plurality of anchor rails configured to be mounted to a surface such as a wall to which the modular enclosure system is to be attached. The modular enclosure system includes a first partition having a plurality of partition segments and a second partition having a plurality of partition segments. The first partition and the second partition are each coupled to a first rail and a second rail of the plurality of anchor rails.

A composed element, such as a piece of furniture, wherein the composed element comprises at least a rear wall, as well as a number of constructional parts forming a whole in which the rear wall has to be provided. A set of panel-shaped elements includes a first panel-shaped element, a second panel-shaped element, and a third panel-shaped element. The first panel-shaped element includes at least one recess that extends through the first panel-shaped element from a first side to a second side. The second panel-shaped element includes a first profiled portion, which is configured to extend into the recess from the first side of the first panel-shaped element. The third panel-shaped element includes a second profiled portion, which is configured to extend into the recess from the second side of the first panel-shaped element and for locking engagement with the first profiled portion. The set of panel-shaped elements can be assembled using a method where the third element is moved into locking engagement with the first and second elements.

A piece of furniture, comprising a first and a second furniture part, which are coupled to each other at an angle by means of mechanical coupling means. A female part is made as an oblong slot in the second furniture part with an insertion opening for introducing a male part. When coupling the first furniture part and the second furniture part to each other, the male part is brought from an insertion position in the insertion opening to an end position in the female part by moving the male part and the female part along each other. The male part is situated on a narrow end of the first furniture part and is positioned with its center line between the central plane of the first furniture part and the inner side of the first furniture part. The slot is realized in the inwardly directed flat side of the second furniture part.
