The driving member is movable in a top-bottom direction between a non-operative position and an operative position. The adjustment mechanism includes a driven member movably mounted to the headrest. The driving member has an active transmitting part. The driven member has a passive transmitting part configured to engage the active transmitting part in the operative position and disengage from the active transmitting part in the non-operative position. The driving member is configured to transmit an actuation movement to the driven member in response to the passive transmitting part engaging the active transmitting part.

Inner carrier module for seatback assembly

A seatback assembly includes an inner carrier module having an upper cross member. The upper cross member includes first and second mounting slots and first and second access apertures disposed therethrough. A seatback frame assembly includes an upper frame member with access apertures disposed therethrough. The inner carrier module is located to a front side of the seatback frame assembly when a locator member of the inner carrier module is received in a locating aperture of the seatback frame assembly. The access apertures of the inner carrier module are aligned with the access apertures of the seatback frame assembly when the two components are coupled together. Guide sleeves are received though the access apertures. A back panel module mounts to a rear side of the seatback frame assembly, wherein upper hook members of the back panel are partially received in the mounting slots of the inner carrier module.

Headrest lifting mechanism

A headrest lifting mechanism is revealed. The headrest lifting mechanism is disposed on a seat back and including a lifting base, a bottom-side vertical support and an elastic positioning rod. A headrest is connected to an upper end of the bottom-side vertical support. A positioning end of the elastic positioning rod fixed on the bottom-side vertical support is moved downward into one of the slots of the lifting base owing to material elasticity when the bottom-side vertical support is assembled with the lifting base. Thus the bottom-side vertical support and the positioning end are slid and positioned together in the slots of the lifting base. The number of the parts is reduced and the assembly is simplified. This enables cost reduction and mass production.

A retaining device for vehicle headrests, including a guide element inside which a fixing rod for fixing a headrest can be housed, a retaining element movable between a retaining position, in which the retaining element prevents the movement of the fixing rod with respect to the guide element, and a release position, and a push button for moving the retaining element from the retaining position to the release position, and at least one lever linked with the push button transferring the movement of the push button to the retaining element, and an elastic element pushing the lever towards the retaining position of the retaining element, wherein the retaining element and the lever are made in a single piece.

Device for vertically adjusting chair headrest
10010182 · 2018-07-03 · ·

An adjustment device for vertically adjusting a chair headrest is revealed and is installed on a seat back frame while in use. The adjustment device includes a sliding member, a fixing member and a button set. A vertical toothed part of the button set is moved and separated from a first rack of the sliding member when the button set is pressed. Then the sliding member is moved vertically relative to the fixing member for synchronous adjustment of vertical position of the headrest. After the button set being released, the vertical toothed part of the button set is turned back and engaged with the first rack of the sliding member. Thus the sliding member and the headrest are positioned at a new position after the adjustment.

Quick disconnect headrest

A headrest assembly includes a linkage system with a first adjustment mechanism configured to power fore and aft movement of a mounting plate. A headrest bun is slideably coupled to the mounting plate and is vertically adjustable via a second adjustment mechanism. A telescoping cover assembly is operable between stowed and deployed positions and configured to substantially conceal the linkage system as the linkage system moves between extended and retracted positions. A disconnect clip includes a first portion disposed on one or more support posts configured to support the headrest assembly, and a second portion disposed on the seatback frame. Power is provided to the first and second adjustment mechanisms when the first portion of the disconnect clip is electrically coupled to the second portion of the disconnect clip.

Headrest and vehicle seat having headrest

A vehicle seat includes a seat back, and a headrest that is provided above the seat back. The headrest includes a pair of stays that form a part of a skeleton of the headrest, a pair of panel members that sandwich parts of the pair of stays from front and rear or above and below so as to connect the stays with each other, and are joined to each other through outer peripheries so as to form a space inside and form a part of the skeleton of the headrest, a cushion material that covers the pair of panel members and the parts of the pair of stays, and a dynamic damper arranged inside the space.

HEADREST ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE SEAT

A headrest assembly for a vehicle seat. The headrest assembly includes a support bracket having a first engagement section and a moveable bracket movable between first and second positions. The headrest assembly further includes a pawl defining a cam surface. The pawl has a second engagement section and is pivotable between an engaged position, with the second engagement section engaging the first engagement section, and a disengaged position, with the second engagement section spaced from the first engagement section. The headrest assembly further includes a first tab selectively engaging and guiding the pawl into the engaged position, and a second tab selectively engaging and guiding the pawl into the disengaged position as the moveable bracket moves between the first and second positions. The headrest assembly further includes a biasing member engaging the cam surface to continuously bias the pawl into both of the engaged and disengaged positions.
