PHYSICAL CONDITIONING AND THERAPEUTIC CONDITIONING PIVOTING SYSTEM
20220202641 · 2022-06-30 ·

A physical conditioning and therapeutic conditioning system that, when configured and incorporated into the construction of a chair, has a seat, a base configured to rest on a surface, and a seat-support mechanism which is configured to couple the seat to the base and enables the seat, when unlocked in one embodiment, to be pivoted in any direction while rocking in the seat and using one's own body weight for resistance. Ideally the seat-support mechanism permits universal motion in all directions above a vertical axis, including front to back inflection and side-to-side inflection of at least 40° , including 360° of rotation on a universal type joint. The universal type joint is a ball joint consisting of a bearing stud and socket enclosed in a case, with all parts made of steel. In one embodiment, the bearing stud is tapered and fits into a hydraulic post. A ball joint is used to allow free rotation in two planes at the same time.

The universal ball joint when attached to the underside of a seat is surrounded by a metal caste collar, also attached to the underside of the seat, and with a locking system attached to the upper collar. Inserted into the upper collar, along with a lower collar attached to the arm support structure, surrounding the ball joint assembly is a hardened metal coiled spring, used ideally to stabilize, through compression, the seat in a horizontal position and allow for locking the seat in a horizontal position, when no force is applied or when not in use.

Joint arrangement (10) has a hollow cylindrical receiving cylinder (20) that extends in a cylinder axis direction (Z) and receives one end of a chair column (30) of an active-dynamic wobble chair, the latter movably mounted in a substantially hollow cylindrical outer joint shell (40) composed of joint shell segments (45). Movable mounting of receiving cylinder (20) is achieved by deformable elastic elements (50) arranged to be variable in shape and position in a bearing gap (60) between an outer wall portion (21, 22) of the receiving cylinder (20) and an inner wall portion (41, 42) of the joint shell (40). Receiving cylinder (20) is actuated in a force-dependent manner, whereby shape and/or position of the elastic elements (50) change as viewed in a radial direction (Rs) from changing, preferably reducing, clearance of the bearing gap (60) when the receiving cylinder (20) is actuated in a cylinder axis direction (Z).

A strut member is connected to the center of a top plate portion which supports a seat portion and the center of a base portion so that the strut member rockably supports the top plate portion. A pair of rocking mechanisms formed by motors and link mechanisms connected to the output shafts of the motors and the top plate portion, and configured to be vertically displaced in accordance with a rotation of the motors is arranged in a front area or a rear area compared to the strut member in the base portion. The axial direction of the motor of one of the rocking mechanisms is aligned with a left oblique direction from the center of the supporting surface, and the axial direction of the motor of the other of the rocking mechanisms is aligned with a right oblique direction from the center of the supporting surface.

Adjustable lounge garden swing

The present invention is an adjustable lounge garden swing having a fixed support structure and a seat support pivotally suspended from the support structure on a single pivot axis to provide a pendular movement when in motion. At least one lounge seat is pivotally coupled to the support structure where the lounge seat has a seating portion and a backrest portion that are fixed relative to one another but adjustable relative to the seat support to adjust the reclination angle of lounge seat. In particular, an embodiment of the present invention provides a lounge seat for a garden swing that has an adjustable reclination angle relative to the seat support and is positionable at a selected reclination angle through a reclination adjustor.

TILTABLE CHAIR
20220125203 · 2022-04-28 ·

The present invention relates to a tiltable chair including: a fixing base having a tiltable housing disposed on an upward protruding dome-shaped center thereof in such a manner as to be movable in an arbitrary direction; a gas cylinder disposed inside the tiltable housing in such a manner as to be linearly reciprocated in upward and downward directions; a seat plate disposed on top of the gas cylinder; and an elastic tiltable member disposed inside the fixing base in such a manner as to accommodate a longitudinal lower part of the gas cylinder therein to allow the gas cylinder to move tiltably about vertical axis to the bottom of the fixing base, wherein the elastic tiltable member includes a fixed frame located on the bottom of the fixing base, a coupling frame located inside the center portion of the fixed frame to accommodate the gas cylinder therein, and a rubber packing located between the fixed frame and the coupling frame and deformed elastically in every direction, wherein the rubber packing has tilt concave grooves formed inward to a given depth from top and underside respectively in such a manner that the tilt concave grooves are reduced in width toward the insides thereof to thus form inclined surfaces.

Accordingly, the tiltable chair is configured to have the elastic tiltable member for accommodating the gas cylinder therein, instead of a large number of coil springs complicated in structure in the conventional practice, so that the tiltable chair can be made simple in structure, thereby preventing the generation of noise when tilted.
