ADHESIVE TAPE JACKETED COMMUNICATION CABLE
A communication cable is surrounded by a tape with overlapped first and second longitudinal edges. The overlapped portion of the tape extends parallel to the longitudinal length of the communication cable, which is also parallel to the longitudinal central axis of the cable core. An attachment is provided between the overlapped portions of the tape. The attachment may be formed by an adhesive layer between the overlapped portions of the tape or a melting together of the overlapped portions of the tape. In either case, the tape forms a circumferential protective seal around the cable core.
TAPE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A tape assembly for masking an object to be painted and method of use is provided. The tape assembly is defined by a tape body having an anterior side, a posterior side, a body first edge, and an opposing body second edge. The tape body includes a first portion including a first substrate having a first adhesive layer on a posterior side of the first substrate, a second portion including a second substrate having a second adhesive layer on an anterior side of the second substrate, and a third portion including a third substrate having a third adhesive layer on a posterior side of the third substrate. The first and third portions partially overlap with the second portion in opposing first and second overlapping regions, respectively.
2-ply printer tape
A printable 2-PLY security tape includes a first tape PLY label stock. A first substrate has a printable outer surface as a first outer PLY surface. A first inner PLY surface includes at least one first release area disposed on an inside surface of the first substrate, and at least one first adhesive area is disposed on the inside surface of the first substrate. A second tape PLY security tape includes a second substrate outer surface as a second outer PLY surface. A second inner PLY surface includes at least one second release area disposed on an inner surface of the second substrate, and at least one second adhesive area disposed on the inner surface of the second substrate. The second adhesive area is in contact with the first release area and the first adhesive area in a contact with the second release area, to form a 2-PLY composite tape.
ADHESIVE MATERIALS
In one embodiment, an adhesive material includes a backing material including a first edge and a second edge positioned opposite of the first edge. An adhesive is applied to a first side of the backing material. The first side of the backing material includes an adhesive-free region positioned between the first edge and the second edge and the backing material is structured to facilitate separation of the backing material along a predetermined path in the adhesive-free region. In one aspect, the predetermined path is formed by a number of predefined features such as perforations or indentations, although other variables are possible.
WEB LINER WITH PARTIALLY EMBEDDED FILAMENTS
A release liner having filaments contacted to a major side thereof, then pressed thereinto. The filaments may be a thermoplastic or thermoset type material.
Heat-shrinkable adhesive tape
A heat-shrinkable adhesive tape, including the tape body, which includes a heat-shrinkable sheet portion and non-heat-shrinkable sheet edge portions respectively provided on the two sides of the heat-shrinkable sheet portion. The bottom surface of each of the non-heat-shrinkable sheet edge portions is provided with an adhesive layer. The heat-shrinkable sheet portion is in the center and non-heat-shrinkable sheet edge portions are on the two sides, while the bottom surface of each of the non-heat-shrinkable sheet edge portions is provided with an adhesive layer such that the non-heat-shrinkable sheet edge portions provide adhesion while the heat-shrinkable sheet portion shrinks under heat and narrows down the gap of the object. The gap of the object will be narrower and the object will be sealed more firmly.
Multilayered tape with removable carrier layer
A multilayer tape is provided. A method of masking a surface is also provided. The multilayer tape includes an inner layer, at least one middle layer, and an outer carrier layer. The inner layer has a pair of parallel adhesive strips demarking an inner gap having a predetermined width. The middle layer is adhered to the inner layer and has a pair of parallel adhesive strips demarking a middle gap narrower than the inner gap. The outer carrier layer is adhered to the middle layer. The method includes applying a multilayer tape system to a surface and removing the outer carrier layer to expose a preselected gap width. The multilayer tape system includes an inner layer, at least one middle layer, and an outer carrier layer.
PLANT LABEL AND TAG AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING
A plant label has a substrate and a permanent adhesive layer on a release liner. An identifier portion of the substrate and a tag portion of the substrate are defined by a detach line that enables the tag portion to be detached from the identifier portion. The tag portion has an adhesive deadener on the permanent adhesive layer, a strip of the permanent adhesive layer of the detachable portion free of adhesive deadener, and a tab having only adhesive deadener on the permanent adhesive layer that enables the tag portion to be detached from the identifier portion and from a container to which the label is affixed.
Adhesive label and roll
An adhesive label is provided. The adhesive label includes an adhesive patch that covers at least 50% but less than 85% of a backside surface of the adhesive label and that is at least partially horizontally and vertically centered on the backside surface.
Air and water barrier articles
There are provided rolls comprising an air and water barrier article having opposing first and second major surfaces, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least the first major surface of the article, and a liner having a first major surface that contacts the opposing second major surface of the article, and at least two adhesion modifying zones disposed between the second major surface of the article and the first major surface of the liner, wherein both of a first and second adhesion modifying zones contact the first major surface of the liner, and wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll. There are also provided films made using these air and water barrier articles and building envelopes made using such films.
