ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS FOR ANCHORING FASTENERS
An ultraviolet-curable (UV-curable) adhesive composition is disclosed. The adhesive composition comprises: A) an epoxy curing agent component; B) a microencapsulated epoxy resin component; C) an expansion agent component; D) a binder component; and E) a photoinitiator component. The adhesive composition is useful for forming an adhesive. In various embodiments, the adhesive composition is in the form of a stick. The adhesive composition is useful for securing a fastener (e.g. in a borehole).
COMPRESSIBLE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE FILM BASED ON A LATENT REACTIVE COMPOSITION
A pressure-sensitive structural adhesive film based on an epoxy resin composition, wherein the epoxy resin composition comprises a latent-reactive, thermally activatable curing agent for producing a structural bond after thermal curing and additionally a curing agent that cross-links at room temperature, wherein the not-cured adhesive film is compressible and therefore allows for tolerance compensation.
Sealant tape
Various embodiments disclosed related to sealant tape. The sealant tape can include a cured product of a sealant composition including a curable liquid that includes a polysulfide, a polythioether, a copolymer thereof, or a combination thereof. The sealant composition also includes a curing agent for curing the curable liquid. Various embodiments provide cured products of the sealant composition, sealant tapes including the cured product, and sealant tapes including any suitable material with an adhesive pattern thereon.
Method of Preparing Elastic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tape and Elastic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tape
Disclosed are a method of preparing an elastic pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and an elastic pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. Main components of the adhesive include a polyacrylate resin with a carbon-carbon double bond and a diluent monomer with a carbon-carbon double bond. A quasi-microcapsule powder component is adopted, wherein the shell material of the quasi-microcapsule powder selects a cellulose-based water soluble polymer, and the core material selects low boiling point alkane, wherein the preparation method combines UV curing, heating, and shell burst, to obtain an elastic adhesive layer, whereby to prepare a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape product. Compared with conventional elastic pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, the preparing method as disclosed has a simple manufacturing process. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape obtained from the disclosed preparing method overcomes the restrictions of conventional foam strips and provide good cushioning and compression properties without using foam as the carrier.
DENSITY ADJUSTABLE LABEL
The specification relates to a density adjustable label and a label laminate (8) for providing the same. Further, the specification concerns a combination of a label (1) and an item (100), as well as a method for manufacturing the label laminate (8). The label (1) comprises a face layer (2) and an adhesive layer (4). The face layer (2) comprises natural fibre based material. The adhesive layer (4) comprises pressure sensitive adhesive and at least one additive for adjusting total density of the label. The pressure sensitive adhesive comprises acrylic polymer(s). The additive comprises expandable particles, the label is detachable from a surface labelled at washing conditions having temperature in a range of 60-90° C. or above and the detached label is arranged to float on a washing liquid.
Thermally releasable adhesive member and display apparatus including the same
A thermally releasable adhesive member includes a base resin and microcapsules dispersed in the base resin. At least one of the microcapsules includes a shell part which comprises a hydrophobic polymer material, and a hollow part which is defined by the shell part and contains an organic solvent.
Dielectric film with pressure sensitive microcapsules of adhesion promoter
Embodiments are generally directed to dielectric film with pressure sensitive microcapsules of adhesion promoter. An embodiment of an apparatus includes a dielectric film, the dielectric film including a dielectric material layer; a layer of pressure sensitive microcapsules on a first side of the dielectric material layer, the microcapsules including an adhesion promoter; and a cover material on the layer of microcapsules. The pressure sensitive microcapsules are to rupture upon application of a certain rupture pressure.
COMPOSITE POLYESTER HOT-MELT ADHESIVE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND PREPARATION METHOD OF ANTI-SCOURING GEOTEXTILE
A composite polyester hot-melt adhesive, a preparation method thereof and a preparation method of an anti-scouring geotextile are provided. The preparation method of the composite polyester hot-melt adhesive includes the following steps: performing an esterification reaction on a dibasic acid and a dihydric alcohol under a protection of nitrogen and an action of a titanium/cobalt composite catalyst, adding a stabilizer for a polycondensation reaction to obtain a polyester hot-melt adhesive, then adding polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres for mixing and stirring to obtain the composite polyester hot-melt adhesive. The anti-scouring geotextile is obtained by bonding a polyethylene terephthalate woven fabric with a polypropylene geotextile by the composite polyester hot-melt adhesive. The composite polyester hot-melt adhesive has the advantages of high bonding strength and good anti-impact performance, and the prepared anti-scouring geotextile has the advantages of high anti-scouring strength, good soil conservation performance, strong protection capability and long service life.
PRIMER FOR PRODUCING A PARTABLE ADHESIVE BOND
Primer for producing a partable adhesive bond, the primer being based on a pressure-sensitive adhesive which comprises a chemical or physical blowing agent.
Sprayable water-based adhesive
Water-based adhesive compositions are improved by the incorporation of hollow polymeric microspheres having outer surfaces coated with one or more barrier materials such as calcium carbonate particles. The adhesive compositions exhibit enhanced rheology, sprayability, drying time, tack and storage stability as compared to analogous adhesives that are not modified with coated hollow polymeric microspheres. Such compositions are useful as both contact adhesives as well as wet bonding one-way adhesives.
