Release liner for repositionable adhesive articles
The present invention inter alia relates to a release liner, which comprises according to an embodiment, a carrier substrate, a thermoplastic polymer layer applied on one side of the carrier substrate, and a release layer applied on the thermoplastic polymer layer on the side opposite to the carrier substrate. The thermoplastic polymer layer and the release layer include a network of ridges resulting in elevations of the surface of the release liner. The surface on the release layer side has a roughness at least between the ridges, such that it has a plurality of pits. The average number of pits per an area of 3.4 mm.sup.2 of the plan view of the release liner surface is at least 50. The pits extend at least to a level of 10.0 m above the deepest point of the deepest pit within said area.
RELEASE LINER FOR REPOSITIONABLE ADHESIVE ARTICLES
The present invention relates to a release liner, an adhesive article comprising the same, a process for producing the release liner, and a process for decorating an object using the adhesive article. According to an embodiment, the release liner comprises a carrier substrate (10), a thermoplastic polymer layer (20) applied on one side of the carrier substrate (10), and a release layer (30) applied on the thermoplastic polymer layer (20) on the side opposite to the carrier substrate (10). The thermoplastic polymer layer (20) and the release layer (30) include a network of ridges (25), which result in elevations of the surface of the release liner on the side of the release layer. The surface on the side of the release layer (30) has a roughness at least between the ridges (25), such that it has a plurality of pits (1, 2, 3). The average number of pits (1, 2, 3) per an area of 3.4 mm.sup.2 of the plan view of the release liner surface is at least 50 as determined with a confocal 3D laser scanning microscope at a magnification of 100. The pits (1, 2, 3) extend at least to a level of 10.0 m above the deepest point of the deepest pit (1) within said area of 3.4 mm.sup.2.
Adhesive sheet
The adhesive sheet for bonding an unvulcanized rubber to a metal, including, a release film, which includes a first film layer made of polypropylene and a second film layer made of polyethylene terephthalate, and which is formed as an integrated film, an upper adhesive layer obtained by applying a solvent dispersed type vulcanization adhesive having reactivity with the unvulcanized rubber to a side of the first film layer of the release film and drying the solvent dispersed type vulcanization adhesive, and a lower adhesive layer obtained by, after drying the upper adhesive layer, applying an adhesive having reactivity with the metal onto the upper adhesive layer, and by drying the adhesive.
RELEASE LINER
A release liner that can be produced in a few method steps (e.g., a coextrusion step), exhibits very good interlaminate adhesion, and has little tendency to deform and deviate from planarity. The release liner is for use on pressure-sensitive adhesives and comprises: a layer system (POL) comprising one or more layers and comprising in each layer, based in each case on the total weight of the layer, a total of at least 80% by weight of one or more polyolefins, where each layer of the layer system (POL) comprises polypropylene; at least one layer (PEL) comprising, based on the total weight of the layer (PEL), at least 80% by weight of polyethylene; and an anchoring layer that connects each layer (PEL) to the layer system (POL).
Semi-transparent separating film for UV-sensitive adhesives
The invention relates to a separating film based on polyolefins or ethylene copolymers with a content of organic and optionally inorganic pigment and at least one UV stabilizer. The separating film has a transmission percentage between 5 and 20% in the range from 400 to 700 nm and a transmission percentage of <2% in the range from 300 to 500 nm. Such separating films have the advantage that marking regions applied onto membranes which can be found below the separating film remain detectable, and adhesives which can be found below the separating film are effectively protected from UV light and premature aging by the addition of inorganic and organic pigments and UV stabilizers. The invention further relates to composite structures of corresponding separating films and adhesives, to water-tight membranes with coatings made of adhesive and separating films, and to uses of corresponding membranes for sealing structures against water.
ROLL-SHAPED BODY
Provided is a roll-shaped body that includes an adhesive agent sheet excelling in terms of low hygroscopicity, light resistance, transparency, and flexibility and that can prevent blocking of the adhesive agent sheet even upon temporary exposure to a high-temperature condition during storage or transport. The roll-shaped body includes an adhesive agent sheet containing a thermoplastic resin as a main component and having an embossed shape at both surfaces thereof. In the roll-shaped body, at least one surface of the adhesive agent sheet and a protective sheet having releasability from the adhesive agent sheet are overlapped facing one another and are wound up.
ELECTROCONDUCTIVE FILM, ROLL, CONNECTED STRUCTURE, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING CONNECTED STRUCTURE
A conductive film includes an elongated release film and a plurality of conductive adhesive film pieces provided on the release film. Then, the plurality of adhesive film pieces are arranged in a longitudinal direction X of the release film. For this reason, the adhesive film piece can be set to an arbitrary shape. Accordingly, it is possible to attach the adhesive film piece to adhesive surfaces having various shapes and to efficiently use the adhesive film piece.
LAMINATE SHEET AND ROLL
Provided is a laminate sheet in which a first sheet, a PSA layer and a second sheet are laminated in this order. Of the first and second sheets, at least one is a release liner having a release face on the side facing the PSA layer. The PSA layer has a thickness of 200 m or greater. The first sheet has a tensile modulus of 1000 MPa or greater and the second sheet has a tensile modulus of 500 MPa or less.
DOUBLE-LINERED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET
This invention provides a double-linered PSA sheet having an adhesively double-faced PSA sheet, and first and second release films placed on first and second adhesive faces of the PSA sheet. The first and second release films have tensile elastic moduli E.sub.1 and E.sub.2 at an E.sub.2/E.sub.1 ratio value of 1.5 or greater.
Method of producing a roll-shaped body
A method of producing a roll-shaped body comprises: obtaining an adhesive agent sheet having an embossed shape at both surfaces thereof by imparting an embossed shape on both surfaces of an adhesive agent sheet containing a thermoplastic resin as a main component; overlapping a protective sheet having releasability from the adhesive agent sheet to at least one surface of the adhesive agent sheet having the embossed shape at both surfaces thereof; and obtaining the roll-shaped body by wounding the adhesive agent sheet having the embossed shape at both surfaces thereof and the protective sheet that are overlapped facing one another.
