The present invention relates to a support device for assisting a user in showering or toileting. The support device comprises a seat comprising a seating surface for supporting a weight of the user; a plurality of legs attached to the seat; a pair of handles configured to attach to substantially opposite side portions of the seat, each handle comprising a pair of end portions for attaching to the seat; and a securing element for securing each handle to the seat; wherein each of the substantially opposite side portions of the seat comprises a plurality of receptacles for snugly fitting the end portions of a respective handle, and wherein the support device is configured such that a portion of the user's weight on the handles of the support device applies a force that has a force component directed into each receptacle and parallel to a central axis of each receptacle.

Bamboo seat and bamboo stool

A bamboo seat and a bamboo stool are provided. The bamboo seat includes two side frames and bamboo piece components. The two side frames are spaced apart and are arranged from left to right. Each of the side frames extends from front to rear. Mortises are defined on an inner side surface of each of the side frames. The mortises defined on each of the side frames are arranged at intervals from front to rear. The bamboo piece components are arranged at intervals from front to rear. A gap is formed between every two adjacent bamboo piece components. Two ends of each of the bamboo piece components are respectively inserted into corresponding mortises on the two side frames to be tightly matched and fixed to the side frames. Each of the bamboo piece components is formed by stacking at least three bamboo pieces.

A structural system and method of assembly comprising structural members with slots, and interior structural members. Specific structural members are sequentially interconnected in rigid alignment. A first structural member is positioned with two upward facing slots. Additional structural members are added by engaging downward facing slots of the additional structure members with upward facing slots of the prior structural member. The structural members further include engagement features in cooperating slots. A protruding features engages a recess to retain the engaged structural members. The features may be a partial sphere and a matching recess which may be disassembly, or a tapered protrusion having a squared-off rear edge which resists disassembly, or one of a variety of shapes.

FLAT-PACK CHAIR HAVING TOOL-FREE ASSEMBLY

A furniture piece includes a first furniture subassembly, a first fitting on the first furniture subassembly, a second furniture subassembly, and a second fitting on the second furniture subassembly. The second fitting is selectively attachable to the first fitting to secure the first furniture subassembly to the second furniture subassembly. One of the first fitting and the second fitting is a sliding interference slot with an open end and a blind end, and the other of the first fitting and the second fitting is a sliding tongue slidably introducible in the open end of the interference slot.

SPRING ASSEMBLY

A method of assembling a spring inside of a tube includes providing a coil spring and a tube having a first retaining structure at a first end of the tube. The method includes positioning a rod in the tube. The spring is positioned in the tube, and a second retaining structure is attached to the rod with the spring positioned between the first and second retaining structures. A force is applied to the spring, and the second retaining structure is fixed at a position wherein the spring provides a desired preload.

Portable rebounding device with adjustable and collapsible features

A rebounding device includes a front member, a rear member, and a junction member releasably coupling the front member and the rear member is disclosed. The junction member enables the front member and the rear member move between a collapsed position and an expanded position, and the front member is movable relative to the rear member during a rocking motion when the junction member is in the expanded position. In one embodiment, the junction member comprises a ratchet gear, a spring-loaded pawl configured to engage the ratchet gear and prevent rotation thereof, and a torsion spring. Application of pressure by a user against the front member causes the front member to move toward the rear member, thereby loading the torsion spring. Removal of the pressure against the front member causes the torsion spring to unload, thereby biasing the front member away from the rear member.
