The flow of a fluid may be diverted from a high permeability zone to a low permeability zone of a subterranean formation or well sections may be temporarily isolated by use of particles comprising a mixture of (i) at least one bi-phenyl compound of Compound I, (ii) one mellitic derivative of Compound II, (iii) one chelating agent of Compound III, (iv) one polymer of Compound IV, and (v) an internal breaker for the diverting agents and other additives like gels, foams, acids, brines and various other treatment chemicals.

Well-treatment fluids composition

A well treatment fluid composition that includes a tetrakis(hydroxyorgano)phosphonium salt and 1,3-dimethylol-5,5-dimethylhydantoin. Methods for preparing a well treatment fluid composition and treating a subterranean formation are also presented.

Sportman's holder system with leg adapter

A fishing pole holder system has a leg adapter configured to secure a pole holder to the user's upper leg. The leg adapter fits over a person's thigh and may be secured by a strap. A pole holder is attached to the leg adapter to allow individuals with only one available hand to fish. The pole holder has a recess for receiving the grip end of the fishing pole. A height extender may be coupled between the leg adapter and the pole holder to extend the pole holder up when a person is standing. A belt extension may be attached to the leg adapter and extend up to a person's waist where it may be attached to a belt to further secure the leg adapter in place. A line clip may be provided to allow the fishing line to be retained in position while the lure or bait is change or to remove a fish. The leg adapter with a base and recess also accommodates a rifle pod to enable one-armed hunting.

Chemical additives useful for hydraulic fracturing operation are comprising of lubricant/nonpolar solvents; hydro-dual-phobic domains as core encapsulated by emulsifiers as shell, suspended in water by hydrogel polymers as hydrophilic domains; soy protein isolate (SPI) and sweet rice flour were modified with crosslinking polymers of isocyanate as hydrophobic domains, which is incorporated into the frac fluid as a standard alone friction reducer solution or as an enhancer of frac fluid viscosity of the final frac fluid products in high salinity brines having a concentration as high as 25.0% at an ambient temperature at a downhole well temperature from 30 to 180° F.

In situ H2S scavenger additive generation

A composition includes a borehole or pipeline fluid and a delivery molecule, the delivery molecule stable under conditions external to a borehole or pipeline and including a precursor having an end terminating in degradable linkages bonding the precursor to bridged groups and another end terminating in a leaving group, where under in situ conditions in the pipeline or downhole from the borehole surface contact with an initiator acid catalyzes degradation of the degradable linkages and elimination of the leaving group, releasing the precursor and generating an additive from the precursor. A method includes placing the delivery molecule in the borehole or pipeline; and after the placing, contacting the composition with an initiator acid under in situ conditions.

Enhanced kill of microorganisms

A process is provided for the time dependent reduction and kill of cellular bacteria in a fluid by sequential exposure to nitrites and a low concentration of biocide. Oilfield water containing sulfate-reducing bacteria can be supplied with a timed sequential exposure of nitrite and biocide. The timed sequential addition of the biocide following exposure to the nitrite provides enhanced kill of the sulfate-reducing bacteria at concentrations of biocide that are lower than would be possible using simultaneous addition of these materials.

Compositions for treating a subterranean formation with a foamed system and corresponding methods

A method for treating a subterranean formation with a foamed system is disclosed. The method includes introducing a fracturing fluid into the formation. The fracturing fluid includes a first solution and a second solution. The first solution includes an ammonium containing compound. The second solution includes a nitrite containing compound. One or both of the solutions further include a foaming agent. The solutions are mixed within the formation to generate a nitrogen gas. The method further includes, allowing the compounds to generate nitrogen in the presence of the foaming agent to form a foam and generate the foamed system within the formation. Generation of the foamed system produces sufficient pressure from volumetric expansion to generate fractures in the formation. The fractures are held open with a proppant provided with the fracturing fluid to create a conductive path for production of fluids from the formation to the wellbore.
