A textile deck assembly, method of fabricating, and method of installing onto a seat frame assembly. The textile deck assembly includes a platform portion and a plurality of straps coupled to a rearward edge of the platform portion. The materials of the textile deck assembly are matched so that the plurality of straps undergoes most or all of the elongation under load (e.g., when a person sits thereon), while the platform portion, even though it is flexible and compliant, is stretch resistant and undergoes little or no stretching under load. A battery of durability tests were performed on the textile deck assembly, including deflection testing, fatigue testing, and drop testing, and compared with conventional seat decks that utilize sinuous springs. The durability of the textile deck assembly to was found to outperform conventional seat decks.

An enclosure may be positioned underneath a chair seat to at least partially enclose the under-seat space and may open and close in conjunction with the expanding and collapsing of the chair. In one aspect, the under-seat enclosure is usable with side-to-side folding chairs (e.g., director-style folding chairs), with or without a footrest. Among other things, the under-seat enclosure may include accessory pockets and panels. In addition, the under-seat enclosure may optionally include dividers that sub-divide an interior compartment into multiple compartments.

A webbing seat and seat body include a hem and seat section. A seat body is fixed to armrest through hem. A sitting section includes cushion and backrest and material of cushion is same as that of hem. A backrest is composed of webbing with one end sewn to hem and the other to cushion's edge. A front edge of cushion is sewn to hem and back edge suspended through webbing to take shape of stretching backrest.

A folding chair that includes a frame and seat and back fabric supported by the frame. The frame includes primary leg frames and secondary leg frames that cross-hinge on both sides, and the lower sections hinge to a pair of backrest bars of the secondary leg frames. There is a support ring or armrest bars at the hinges between the primary leg bars and the backrest bars to form traction to the backrest bars and to provide armrest function.

A swinging chair comprises a frame portion and a seat portion designed to hang within the frame portion. The frame portion comprises a plurality of rigid segments, which are connected by a hub and from which is hung the chair seat portion. In one embodiment, the frame is comprised of multiple segments which can be taken apart for ease of storage and packing while the seat portion may be made of a soft, pliable cloth like material which is supported by a number of straps coupled to two buckles that fit over a knob or other protrusion in the upright seat support frame portion for providing and controlling automatic reclining of the chair seat back portion.

A swinging chair comprises a frame portion and a seat portion designed to hang within the frame portion. The frame portion comprises a plurality of rigid segments, which are connected by a hub and from which is hung the chair seat portion. In one embodiment, the frame is comprised of multiple segments which can be taken apart for ease of storage and packing while the seat portion may be made of a soft, pliable cloth like material which is supported by a number of straps coupled to two buckles that fit over a knob or other protrusion in the upright seat support frame portion for providing and controlling automatic reclining of the chair seat back portion.

A folding chair includes front and rear supports that fold and/or retract into central beams to reduce the space occupied by the chair in a folded configuration. A backrest is coupled to the central beams with a hub that allows an angle of the backrest relative to the central beams to be selected and for the backrest to be folded flat relative to the central beams. One or more actuators and pin actuators may control the relative movements of the backrest, front support, rear support, and central beams.

A portable backpack chair with gear carrying webbing for use in efficiently carrying gear for camping, the beach or the like. The backpack chair provides a novel design that eases the ability to carry a collapsible chair, such as a beach chair, on the user's back along with accompanying gear such as a cooler, beach towel and supplies. The novel design comprises a beach chair with an pack carrier portion and support structure mounted to the bottom portion of the beach chair, and chair back and seat portions that include a plurality of rows of cross webbing fixedly connected to the chair backing and seat fabric at intervals whereby securing straps can be used to attach gear to the fabric portion by looping the securing straps through a spaces between the fabric and the webbing. The portable backpack chair allows the user to quickly and easily pack and carry a chair and gear with minimal effort.
