ERGONOMIC SEATING ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS

Seating assemblies and methods are disclosed. A seating assembly can comprise a seat, a back support, and a frame component. The frame component can extend from a bottom portion, positioned near an underside of the seat, to a top portion, configured to maintain the back support at a position above the seat. The back support can laterally extend from a left edge portion to a right edge portion and can include a spring member at or near each of the left and right edge portions. The spring member can include at least one undulation or are providing integrated compression adaptation to a user. The seating assembly can further comprise a tilt mechanism, engaged with the frame component, including one or more leaf springs and a spring contact assembly. The spring contact assembly can be positioned on a top side of the one or more leaf springs.

A bench and frame component for holding individual planks to be used in a sitting bench where fastening an individual plank to the frame can be avoided. The frame is configured to allow a plank to be received in a holding pocket defined by an upper pocket piece and a lower pocket piece. The upper pocket piece may be connected to and removed from the lower pocket piece. The lower pocket piece may include a series of pocket segments and when connected with the upper pocket piece form a series of two-piece holding pockets for receiving a plurality of planks. The frame component is combined with other components and planks to form a bench. The bench may comprise individual bench sections that connect with similar modular sections to form a sectional bench.

Tandem wheelchair assembly

A tandem wheelchair assembly for wheeling two people simultaneously includes a front wheelchair and a rear wheelchair, which can seat a first person and a second person, respectively, and which comprise a first frame and a second frame, respectively. A plate is fixedly attached, by its first end, proximate to a rear end of the first frame so that the plate extends from the rear end. A forward end of the second frame is attached to a second end of the plate. The plate extends between the front wheelchair and the rear wheelchair and is substantially parallel to a surface upon which the front wheelchair and the rear wheelchair are positioned. Feet of the second person can be rested upon the plate. An attendant is positioned to wheel the first person and the second person simultaneously across the surface.

A locker includes a pair of spaced-apart upstanding sidewalls and at least one shelf extending between the sidewalls, the shelf and sidewalls defining a compartment. A tray is carried on the shelf in the compartment and supported by a pair of rollers and coupled to a pair of rails mounted on the sidewalls above the shelf, wherein the tray slides forward and backward relative to the shelf and rotates about the rollers. Located on the tray are a set of equipment racks for storing and drying equipment when not in use.

The first linkage arm can include a first end and a second end; the second end of the first linkage arm can be rotatably coupled to the second end of the linkage frame; and the first linkage arm can include a cavity. The second linkage arm can include a first end and a second end; the second end of the second linkage arm can be coupled to the first linkage arm; and the second linkage arm can be positioned in the cavity of the first linkage arm.
