Sitting bones cushion
A sitting bones cushion can include a right aperture and a left aperture, which can allow a person sitting on the cushion to experience reduced pressure on the person's lower pelvis. The sitting bones cushion can also include a right leg support cutout, a left leg support cutout, and a rear cutout, which can allow a person sitting in the cushion to experience reduced pressure on the person's coccyx, while having support and guidance to the position of the legs. The features of the cushion may promote a healthy sitting posture, proper spine alignment, and may reduce or prevent pain in the lower back and buttocks. Also disclosed is a method for configuring a support contour of a cushion.
Chair with extendable and retractable ganging system
A chair has a frame with legs, a seat hoop carried by the legs, and a backrest extending above the seat hoop. A seat is carried by the seat hoop of the frame, and has a seat base with a cushion. A perimeter lip circumscribes the seat base and rests over the seat hoop. The seat base has a flexible and resilient corrugated interior capable of deflecting under weight and returning when the weight is removed. An annular bottom projection projects from the seat base between the perimeter lip and the corrugated interior and into the seat hoop, and has an annular bottom surface substantially flush with the lower surface of the seat hoop.
DEVICE FOR LINKING BODILY MOVEMENT TO LEARNING BEHAVIOUR AND METHOD WHEREBY SUCH A DEVICE IS APPLIED
Device for linking bodily movement to learning behaviour, whereby this device (1) consists of a number of objects that can be used by pupils as flexible adjustable seating units (2), characterised in that these seating units are each equipped with a digital module (4) that is able to detect movements of the seating unit caused by the pupils, and to communicate these movements wirelessly to a central teaching module (3), after which the central teaching module (3) can wirelessly send back an individual message to each of the seating units (2), adapted to the movement that is made with each of the seating units.

Headrest
A headrest has a pad that is formed integrally with an outer cover by foam molding, and is also provided with: a low-resilience layer that is set in a front part of the pad and has lower resilience than the pad; a support member that is harder than the pad and supports the low-resilience layer from a backside of the low-resilience layer; and a blocking member that is located at a position to cover a contact area of the low-resilience layer and the support member from an outer circumference side while being in contact with at least one of the low-resilience layer and the support member and blocks infiltration of a foamed resin material of the pad into the contact area.
CHAIR PROVIDING LIFTING FORCE TO THE USER
A back lifting chair designed for treating and preventing back problems by reducing pressure on a user's spinal disc. The chair provides an up-lifting motion on the user's torso, reducing the weight and pressure asserted on the lumbar disc, and preventing any further damage to it. The chair can be modified from an existing chair. In one configuration, a torso lifting harness which can lift the user's upper torso is connected to the backrest of the chair. The back rest of the chair provides an upward and downward movement, hence partially or completely lifting the user from the seat, effectively reducing the pressure on the user's spine and back. The upward motion can be initialized by the user, or alternatively, it can be automatically activated by the weight sensor installed on the seat area which detects the prolonged period of sitting.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat 10 includes: a seatback frame forming framework of a seatback that supports the back of a seated occupant; and a seatback pad that is attached to the seatback frame, and that includes a pair of left and right side support sections respectively disposed at both seat width direction end portions of the seatback pad, a main section disposed between the pair of left and right side support sections, and soft angled sections that are provided to seat front side end portions on both seat width direction end portions of the main section and are softer than a seat width direction intermediate portion of the main section, and that are angled such that seat front side faces of the soft angled sections are disposed further toward the seat front side on progression toward the seat width direction outer side.
Combination back cushion and front cushion with a connecting member having an opening to removably receive a support member into the interior rear of the back cushion
A combination back cushion and seat cushion which are retained together by a retaining member which is preferably a flap member which is affixed to the rear of the seat cushion and also affixed to the rear of the back cushion, the connecting member having an opening to removably receive a steel support within the back cushion, which steel support is inserted behind any cushioning member of the back seat so that when the steel support frame is completely inserted into the back frame, the back cushion is rotated relative to the front cushion so that the support member within the back cushion is completely concealed but still provides the required extra support for a person to rest their back against the back cushion.
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING DEFORMATION OF CUSHION PAD AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention provides a cushion pad with improved durability without feeling of a foreign object.
The present invention thus provides a system for detecting a deformation of a cushion pad, comprising; the cushion pad comprising a matrix layer, in which electroconductive or magnetic filler is dispersed, and a soft polyurethane foam including the matrix layer incorporated therein, and a detecting portion that detects an electric or magnetic change caused by a deformation of the cushion pad, wherein the matrix layer has a hardness lower than the soft polyurethane, and it production method.
Chair assembly with upholstery covering
A seating unit component assembly comprises a support component that includes a first surface adapted to abut a seated user, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first end surface, a second end surface opposite the first end surface, and a pair of side surfaces extending between the first and second end surfaces, and a cover having a plurality of sides that cooperate to form an interior space that receives the support component therein, wherein the cover includes a first portion comprising a non-fabric substantially flexible thermoplastic material covering at least a portion of at least one of the side surfaces of the support component, a second portion comprising a fabric covering at least a portion of the first surface and at least a portion of the first end surface of the support component, and a third portion comprising a substantially rigid overlay covering at least a portion of the second end surface and at least a portion of the second surface.
