SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR UPGRADING CRUDE OIL THROUGH HYDROCRACKING AND SOLVENT ASSISTED ON-LINE SOLID ADSORPTION OF ASPHALTENES
A system for upgrading heavy hydrocarbon feeds, such as crude oil, include a hydrotreating unit, a hydrotreated effluent separation system, a solvent-assisted adsorption system, and a hydrocracking unit. Processes for upgrading heavy hydrocarbon feeds include hydrotreating the hydrocarbon feed to produce a hydrotreated effluent that includes asphaltenes, separating the hydrotreated effluent into a lesser boiling hydrotreated effluent and a greater boiling hydrotreated effluent comprising the asphaltenes, combining the greater boiling hydrotreated effluent with a light paraffin solvent to produce a combined stream, adsorbing the asphaltenes from the combined stream to produce an adsorption effluent, and hydrocracking the lesser boiling hydrotreated effluent and at least a portion of the adsorption effluent to produce a hydrocracked effluent with hydrocarbons boiling less than 180° C. The systems and processes increase the hydrocarbon conversion and yield of hydrocarbons boiling less than 180° C.

Process integration for cracking light paraffinic hydrocarbons
Systems and methods for the catalytic cracking of light hydrocarbons, such as naphtha, to form light olefins and aromatics is disclosed. The systems and methods may include a catalytic cracking process that involves mixing catalyst with a gas and then this mixture is used to contact a hydrocarbon feed, e.g., light straight run naphtha or heavy straight run naphtha. The hydrocarbon feed may be mixed with dry gas such as methane and/or hydrogen to dilute the hydrocarbon feed, before the hydrocarbon feed is contacted with the catalyst/gas mixture.

A reactor shell for producing olefins via steam cracking from a fed reactive mixture stream composed of steam and hydrocarbons comprising: at least one reactive stream duct formed within said reactor shell, at least one structured ceramic bed having a plurality of hollow flow paths, at least one electrical resistance heating element for heating the reactive mixture stream up to a predetermined reaction temperature and a coating provided on a surface contacting with the reactive mixture stream is provided. The reactor shell is characterized by that said electrical resistance heating element that is arranged inside at least some of said hollow flow paths in a manner that there still remains a flowing passage inside the hollow flow paths.

Method of Treating Pyrolysis Oil From Waste Plastics
The present disclosure provides a method of treating waste plastic pyrolysis oil. The method includes a first step of washing waste plastic pyrolysis oil with water and then removing moisture; a second step of mixing the waste plastic pyrolysis oil from which the moisture is removed and a sulfur source to prepare a mixed oil; a third step of hydrotreating the mixed oil with hydrogen gas in the presence of a hydrotreating catalyst; a fourth step of separating the hydrotreated mixed oil into a liquid stream and a gas stream to obtain liquid pyrolysis oil; and a fifth step of recovering hydrogen gas from the separated gas stream and recycling the recovered hydrogen gas to the third step.
Fluid catalytic cracking process of crude lignin oil (CLO)
A FCC process including the steps of (a) adding a crude lignin oil (CLO) to a FCC unit, wherein the FCC unit has a FCC riser, a catalyst regenerator and a reactor/stripper, wherein CLO is a crude lignin oil composition including lignin and a polar organic solvent in 1:10 to 1:0.3 w/v ratio, (b) optionally adding a second feed including a conventional FCC feedstock to the FCC unit, (c) adding a regenerated catalyst from the regenerator to the FCC riser for catalytic cracking and upgrading the CLO and second feedstock to produce upgraded products and deactivated catalyst, (d) adding the upgraded products and deactivated catalyst from the FCC riser to the reactor/stripper and separating upgraded products from deactivated catalyst in the reactor/stripper, (e) adding the deactivated catalyst from (d) to the regenerator to regenerate the deactivated catalyst to provide regenerated catalyst; and
collecting the upgraded products.
A METHOD FOR CATALYTIC CRACKING OF HYDROCARBONS TO PRODUCE OLEFINS AND AROMATICS WITHOUT STEAM AS DILUENT
A method of producing olefins and/or aromatics is disclosed. The method includes catalyzing a hydrocarbon cracking reaction with a catalyst comprising a mixture of ZSM-5 zeolite and USY zeolite modified with lanthanum. The cracking process includes providing a diluent comprising primarily methane to the reactor, wherein steam is not provided to the reactor as a diluent.

Steam cracking process integrating oxidized disulfide oil additive
Oxidized disulfide oil (ODSO) compounds or ODSO compounds and disulfide oil (DSO) compounds are added to a steam cracker feed. During the thermal cracking, the ODSO or ODSO and DSO components in the steam cracker mixture minimize coke formation on the steam cracker coils.
