TAIL GAS OF GAS FERMENTATION TO DRY GASIFICATION FEEDSTOCK
20210284926 · 2021-09-16 ·

The disclosure provides for the integration of a gas fermentation process with a gasification process whereby tail gas from the gas fermentation process is recycled to a dryer of the gasification process. The tail gas from the gas fermentation process is utilized to generate heat which in turn is used to dry feedstock to the gasification process. The heat is typically used to heat a drying gas, such as air, which is then directly or indirectly contacted with the gasification feedstock to dry the gasification feedstock. Dried gasification feedstock provides improved yield and improved quality of syngas as compared to gasification feedstock that is not dried.

Method and Systems for Treating Synthesis Gas

The present invention relates to a method for treating synthesis gas, from an indirect or direct gasifier; the method including steps for: allowing the gas within a predetermined entry temperature range to flow into a first heat exchanger, allowing the gas to flow through the first heat exchanger while exchanging heat to a first medium, allowing the gas to transfer from the first heat exchanger to a subsequent last heat exchanger, allowing the gas to flow though the last heat exchanger while exchanging heat to a last medium, and allowing the gas to exit the last heat exchanger for being available to a further treatment, such as a cleaning treatment, within a predetermined exit temperature range, preferably below an ash or mineral solidification point. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a cooling system for cooling of synthesis gas and to a gasification system.

Supercritical water gasification with decoupled pressure and heat transfer modules

The present invention discloses a system and method for supercritical water gasification (SCWG) of biomass materials wherein the system includes a SCWG reactor and a plurality of heat exchangers located within a shared pressurized vessel, which decouples the function of containing high pressure from the high temperature function. The present invention allows the heat transfer function to be conducted independently from the pressure transfer function such that the system equipment can be designed and fabricated in manner that would support commercial scaled-up SCWG operations. By using heat exchangers coupled to the reactor in a series configuration, significant efficiencies are achieved by the present invention SCWG system over prior known SCWG systems.

Particulate classification vessel having gas distributor valve for recovering contaminants from bed material

A multi-stage product gas generation system converts a carbonaceous material, such as municipal solid waste, into a product gas which may subsequently be converted into a liquid fuel or other material. One or more reactors containing bed material may be used to conduct reactions to effect the conversions. Unreacted inert feedstock contaminants present in the carbonaceous material may be separated from bed material using a portion of the product gas. A heat transfer medium collecting heat from a reaction in one stage may be applied as a reactant input in another, earlier stage.

GASIFIER WALL, INTEGRATED GASIFICATION COMBINED CYCLE POWER GENERATION EQUIPMENT COMPRISING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING GASIFIER WALL

A gasifier wall is formed of a plurality of pipes through which a cooling medium flows. The plurality of pipes are made of a first material and arranged side by side. At least a part of the gasifier wall includes an outer peripheral portion stacked on a periphery of each of the pipes and made of a second material having higher corrosion resistance than the pipes; a board disposed between the outer peripheral portion and an adjacent outer peripheral portion; and a welded portion coupling the outer peripheral portion and the board. The outer peripheral portion and the board constitute a wall surface that separates an internal space and an external space from each other. The outer peripheral portion covers an entire region of the pipe in a circumferential direction.

Provided is a powder fuel supply apparatus comprising a distributor (84) that branches supplied powder fuel to a plurality of branch tubes (82), a plurality of burners (126a) connected to downstream ends (82a) of the plurality of branch tubes (82), respectively, to supply char into a gasification furnace that gasifies the powder fuel, a flow nozzle (85) provided in each of the plurality of branch tubes (82), to apply pressure loss to char flow in the branch tube (82), a differential pressure gauge (86) that measures a differential pressure generated by the flow nozzle (85), and a control unit that determines decrease in flow velocity of the char flow based on the differential pressure obtained by the differential pressure gauge (86).

SLAG DISCHARGE DEVICE, GASIFIER FURNACE AND INTEGRATED GASIFICATION COMBINED CYCLE, AND SLAG DISCHARGE METHOD

An object is to curb damage localized in a slag capturing portion caused when slag passes therethrough. A slag discharge device includes: a screen mesh (6) that is a porous member including a plurality of through-holes (6a) formed therein; and a crushing device (7) that crushes water-granulated slag (S2) captured by the screen mesh (6). The crushing device has a crusher head (12) that breaks, with a pressure, and thus crushes the water-granulated slag (S2), a hydraulic cylinder (13) that reciprocates the crusher head in a predetermined direction, a guide plate (14) that restricts movement of the crusher head caused by the hydraulic cylinder, and a plurality of crushing spaces (15) in which the water-granulated slag (S2) is crushed. A communication opening that causes the crushing spaces (15) to communicate with each other is formed in a partitioning wall guide plate (14a) of the guide plate.
