A portable fuel synthesizer, comprising a portable housing, an electrical power source utilizing the hydrocarbon gas as fuel and connected to the portable housing, a boiler utilizing the hydrocarbon gas as fuel and connected to the portable housing, a reactor connected to the boiler to react the hydrocarbon gas to the hydrocarbon liquid, the reactor connected to the portable housing, at least one temperature sensor connected to the reactor to sense at least one temperature of the reaction, at least one pressure sensor connected to the reactor to sense at least one pressure of the reaction and a control system controlling the at least one of at least one temperature of the reaction and the at least one pressure of the reaction, the control system connected to the portable housing.
Method and system of modifying a liquid level during start-up operations
The present disclosure provides a method for separating a feed stream in a distillation tower. The method includes operating a controlled freeze zone section in a distillation tower that separates a feed stream at a temperature and pressure at which the feed stream forms a solid in the controlled freeze zone section, wherein the feed stream includes a first contaminant; maintaining a melt tray assembly in the controlled freeze zone section; introducing the feed stream to the controlled freeze zone section; and accumulating a liquid in the melt tray assembly until the liquid is at a predetermined liquid level in the controlled freeze zone section, by: feeding a second contaminant to the controlled freeze zone section; and adding the second contaminant to the melt tray assembly, wherein the liquid comprises the second contaminant.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SEPARATION OF NATURAL GAS FROM OIL AND GAS WELL FLUIDS
A system for heating water for an oil and gas well treatment system utilizing raw natural gas from an oil and gas well. The system includes a separation assembly to remove liquids from the raw natural gas, wherein at least a portion of heated water from a frac water heater is passed through the separation assembly to prevent freezing therein.
Low sulfur fuel oil blends for stability enhancement and associated methods
Fuel oil compositions, and methods for blending such fuel oil compositions, to enhance initial compatibility and longer term stability when such fuel oil compositions are blended to meet IMO 2020 low sulfur fuel oil requirements (ISO 8217). In one or more embodiments, asphaltenic resid base stocks are blended with high aromatic slurry oil to facilitate initial compatibility such that low sulfur cutter stocks, e.g., vacuum gas oil and/or cycle oil, may be further blended therein to cut sulfur content while maintaining longer term stability. These fuel oil compositions are economically advantageous when used as marine low sulfur fuel oils because greater concentrations of high viscosity resids are present in the final blend.
Hydrocarbon gas processing
A process and an apparatus are disclosed for a compact processing assembly to remove C.sub.5 and heavier hydrocarbon components from a hydrocarbon gas stream. The hydrocarbon gas stream is expanded to lower pressure and supplied to the processing assembly between an absorbing means and a mass transfer means. A distillation vapor stream is collected from the upper region of the absorbing means and cooled in a first heat and mass transfer means inside the processing assembly to partially condense it, forming a residual vapor stream and a condensed stream. The condensed stream is supplied to the absorbing means at its top feed point. A distillation liquid stream is collected from the lower region of the mass transfer means and directed into a second heat and mass transfer means inside the processing assembly to heat it and strip out its volatile components.
ADJUSTING A FUEL ON-BOARD A VEHICLE
Techniques for separating a fuel on-board a vehicle include mixing an input fuel stream and a fluid solvent; separating the mixture into a first liquid fuel stream and a second liquid fuel stream, the first liquid fuel stream including a first portion of the input fuel stream defined by a first auto-ignition characteristic value and the fluid solvent, the second liquid fuel stream including a second portion of the input fuel stream defined by a second auto-ignition characteristic value that is different than the first auto-ignition characteristic value; separating the first liquid fuel stream into the fluid solvent and the first portion of the input fuel stream; directing the first portion of the input fuel stream to a first fuel tank on the vehicle; and directing the second portion of the input fuel stream to a second fuel tank on the vehicle.
PROCESS FOR CATALYTIC PRODUCTION OF PROPANOL
The present disclosure is related to a multistep process for producing renewable gasoline components from a glyceride containing feedstock. The glycerides are split to provide a stream containing fatty acids, or esters of fatty acids, and another stream containing glycerol and water. Glycerol, preferably as crude glycerol recovered from splitting, is next converted to propanols at vapor phase, providing a renewable propanol gasoline component. Another renewable gasoline component is obtained from hydroprocessing of the fatty acids or esters thereof, as a renewable paraffinic naphtha component. Blending the renewable components can provide a novel 100% renewable gasoline.
Integrated process for dialkyldisulfides treatment
The invention relates to a method for treating a hydrocarbon gas stream containing H2S and mercaptans, in which dialkyldisulfides are produced then removed by hydrogenation, as well as a device for carrying out said method.
DIVIDING WALL DEBUTANIZER COLUMN, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION
Embodiments disclosed relate to a debutanizer with a dividing wall. The configuration of the debutanizer includes having a feed section, a top section, a bottom section, and a draw-off section. The debutanizer produces a C4s product, a C5s product and a natural gasoline (NG) product from a C4+s feed. The dividing wall is configured such that an upper portion of the dividing wall is positioned off-set from a vertical centerline and a lower portion of the dividing wall is positioned along the vertical centerline of the debutanizer. A process of use of the debutanizer is also disclosed. A natural gas liquids (NGL) system that includes parallel debutanizers, each with a dividing wall, and a process of use of such system, is also disclosed.
