Process for producing biodiesel and related products

There is described a process for producing biodiesel and related products from mixtures. There is also described a process for producing precursors and feedstock materials for producing biodiesel and related products. The processes use esterification and trans-esterification, separation and purification. Other process steps such as acidification and distillation can also be used.

A flare gas recovery system includes a primary gas sweetening unit and a liquid-driven ejector in continuous fluid communication with the primary gas sweetening unit. The ejector includes an inlet configured to receive a motive fluid including a regenerable amine solvent in a lean state from the primary gas sweetening unit, a gas inlet configured to receive a suction fluid including a gas, and a fluid outlet configured to either directly or indirectly discharge to the primary gas sweetening unit a two-phase fluid including a mixture of the suction fluid and the amine solvent in a rich state.

IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO HYDROCARBON RECOVERY
20240002741 · 2024-01-04 ·

A process to extract work from raw high pressure hydrocarbon production fluids to power gas cleaning and contaminant disposal. This process takes raw high-pressure hydrocarbon well production fluids via pipeline, moderates the pressure through suppressor, separates the fluids into gaseous and liquid phases via separator, passes the gaseous phases through particle filter, then through liquid separator, then passes the gaseous phases through a work extraction machine to extract work. Work can rotate electrical generator, or a pump. Contaminants such as CO2 can be isolated using other cleaning plant, the pass via pipeline and disposed of subsurface via well/s and pipeline, with the pump running directly off the work extraction machine or separate pumps running off electricity generated by generator and distributed via cabling.

METHODS OF IGNITING A FUEL SOURCE, LIGHTER FLUID COMPOSITIONS AND SELF-LIGHTING CHARCOAL BRIQUETTES

The present application provides charcoal briquettes infused with a flammable composition including fusel oil and/or one or more dehydration products of fusel oil and the flammable compositions including one or more dehydration products of fusel oil.

A BIOFUEL COMPOSITION COMPRISING LIGNIN

A biofuel composition and a process for the manufacture of a biofuel composition including lignin and ethanol as the main combustible components of the biofuel composition and having total ash below 1% w/w based on total mass of dry matter in the biofuel composition.

Filtration apparatus with cartridge assembly

A filtration apparatus for filtering a fluid stream includes a vessel housing. At least one cartridge assembly is arranged within the vessel housing. The cartridge assembly includes filtration material arranged between at least one inlet and at least one outlet. The filtration material treats the fluid stream to form a filtered fluid stream. In use, the fluid stream is received a feed port of the vessel housing, flows through the filtration material in the cartridge assembly between the inlet and the outlet, and the filtered fluid stream is discharged from a discharge port of the vessel housing. The filtration apparatus can be used to remove siloxanes from the fluid stream.
