The present invention provides a rotation-transmitting apparatus with a built-in one-way clutch which is capable of preventing rolling contact surfaces and rolling surfaces of inner and outer rings of a rolling bearing from peeling and fretting wearing and is excellent in its resistance to heat and wear. The rotation-transmitting apparatus with a built-in one-way clutch has an inside rotational member; a cylindrical outside rotational member disposed concentrically with the inside rotational member; a one-way clutch connecting the outside surface of the inside rotational member and the inside surface of the outside rotational member to each other only when the outside rotational member rotates at a higher speed than the inside rotational member; and a pair of rolling bearings allowing the inside rotational member and the outside rotational member to rotate relative to each other. Grease is enclosed inside an internal space of a clutch where a plurality of rollers is mounted and inside a space of the bearing where a plurality of rolling elements is mounted. The grease contains a base oil, a thickener, and an additive. The base oil is PAO oil. As the additive, 0.01 to 15 wt % of at leas one compound selected from among ZnDTC and ZnDTP is contained for the entire amount of the grease.

GREASE COMPOSITIONS

Grease compositions may be made from an oil basestock. For example, a grease composition may include: an oil basestock having: a kinematic viscosity (ASTM D445, 40 C.) of from 320 cSt to 520 cSt, a kinematic viscosity (ASTM D445, 100 C.) of from 22 cSt to 36 cSt, a viscosity index (ASTM D2270) of from 80 to 119, a pour point (ASTM D97) of 6 C. or less, and a saturate content (ASTM D7419) of 90 wt % or greater; and from 0.5 wt % to 15 wt % of a thickener, by total weight of the grease composition.

SOLID-LIQUID BI-PHASE LUBRICATING DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING SAME

Disclosed herein are solid-liquid bi-phase lubricating devices that can include a cuboidal shaped stick with at-least one cylindrical or cuboidal shaped hollow core running through entire or partial length of the stick. The cuboidal shaped stick can include a solid polymer-based composite while the inner space is filled with a semi-fluid grease lubricant. The solid polymer-based composite can include one or more polymers, filler materials, corrosion inhibitors, plasticizers, and additives. The grease lubricant can include lithium, lithium-complex, aluminum-complex, calcium-sulphonate complex, bentone-thickened grease, and mixtures thereof and have an NLGI consistency grade1. The lubricating devices can be used for friction reduction of mechanical components involving two or more contacting surfaces in relative motion, such as a steel wheel flange-rail contact interface of transit and freight rail transport systems.
