Furniture lubricant
11332685 · 2022-05-17 · ·

A furniture lubricant for coating a linear lacquered furniture slide bar to provide a slide layer with lowered friction. The furniture lubricant comprises a C10 to C28 alkane and a tri-glyceride. The viscosity, according to ISO 3104:1994/COR 1:1997, of the furniture lubricant at 40° C. is 20 to 80 mm.sup.2/s.

ENGINE OIL FORMULATION WITH IMPROVED SEQUENCE VIII PERFORMANCE

A lubricating oil composition comprising greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil of lubricating viscosity; an amount of one or more ester(s) of a polyhydric alcohol; an amount of one or more boron-containing dispersant(s); wherein a ratio of the amount of the one or more ester(s) of a polyhydric alcohol in weight percent provided to the lubricating oil composition, to an amount of boron in weight percent provided by the one or more boron-containing dispersant(s), based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition is less than 40. The lubricating oil composition has improved corrosion performance in an engine or other mechanical components lubricated with the lubricating oil.

ENGINE OIL LUBRICANT COMPOSTIONS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME WITH STEEL CORROSION PROTECTION

Provided is a low sulfated ash engine oil lubricant composition containing organic friction modifiers with improved fuel economy and corrosion resistance. The lubricant composition includes one or more metal free corrosion inhibitors having an organic acid group and/or one or more organo metallic naphthalene molecules having a ASTM D2896 total base number less than 3 mg KOH/g. The resulting lubricant composition improves ASTM D6557 corrosion protection for low sulfated ash engine oils containing organic friction modifiers, while maintaining exceptional fuel economy performance.

USE OF DIALKYLENE GLYCOL ESTER TO INCREASE THE OXIDATION RESISTANCE OF A LUBRICANT COMPOSITION
20230250353 · 2023-08-10 · ·

The present invention relates to the use of at least one diester having formula (I) in a lubricant composition containing at least one base oil, so as to increase the oxidation resistance of said lubricant composition or to decrease the oxidation level of said lubricant composition,

Composite material

A composite material comprising a plurality of polymer chains fixed to a base and swelled with a mixture which contains a salt and a hydrogen bond-donating compound and has a melting point maintained at 100° C. or less.

REFRIGERATOR OIL, AND WORKING FLUID COMPOSITION FOR REFRIGERATOR

One aspect of the present invention is a refrigerating machine oil containing: a base oil; and a partial ester of a carboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol, wherein the carboxylic acid contains an unsaturated carboxylic acid.

Method of lubricating a mechanical device with high pyrophosphate level lubricant

A lubricant composition is provided containing an oil of lubricating viscosity and a substantially sulfur-free alkyl phosphate amine salt, where at least 30 mole percent of the phosphorus atoms are in an alkyl pyrophosphate salt structure, along with either or both of a conventional phosphorous containing antiwear additive and a glycerol ester. In the phosphate amine salt, at least 80 mole percent of the alkyl groups are typically secondary alkyl groups of 3 to 12 carbon atoms. A method of improving wear over a wide temperature range in a mechanical device is also provided by employing the lubricant composition.

ENGINE OIL LUBRICANT COMPOSTIONS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME WITH SUPERIOR ENGINE WEAR PROTECTION AND CORROSION PROTECTION
20220010230 · 2022-01-13 ·

Provided is an engine oil lubricant composition with improved fuel efficiency and engine wear protection. The lubricant composition may include a major amount of an oil basestock from any one or more Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV or Group V base oils. The resulting engine oil lubricant composition may have a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6 cSt or less, and a corrosion protection of at least 90, as measured according the ASTM D6557 Ball Rust Test. The resulting engine oil lubricant composition may also have a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6 cSt or less, an HTHS (ASTM D4683) of less than or equal to 2.2 cP at 150° C. and a FZG failure load stage of at least 6, as measured by the FZG A10/16.6R/130 test procedure.

LUBRICATING OILS AND GREASES

A lubricating oil composition comprises an amide and at least one additive. A lubricating grease composition comprises a liquid amide, a thickener comprising a metal soap, and at least one additive. The amide in each composition is the reaction product of a secondary, branched amine and a carboxylic acid. The carboxylic acid may be a monocarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylic acid, including dimer acid. The amide is hydrolytically stable, and may be used to increase the hydrolytic stability of the lubricant oil or grease composition. Alternatively, the amide may be used to increase the additive solubility or detergency of the lubricant oil or grease composition.
