COMPLEX, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID COMPLEX
20230365885 · 2023-11-16 · ·

A complex including an active ingredient, and a surfactant. The active ingredient is one or more less-oil-soluble substances selected from the group consisting of a hardly-oil-soluble substance and an oil-insoluble substance, and the one or more less-oil-soluble substances function as an additive for lubricating oil. A method of making the complex.

Use of a diester to improve the anti-wear properties of a lubricant composition

The present invention relates to the use of a diester of the following formula (I):
R.sup.a—C(O)—O—([C(R).sub.2].sub.n—O).sub.s—C(O)—R.sup.b  (I),
as an additive to improve the anti-wear properties of a lubricant composition comprising one or more anti-wear additive(s).

USE OF DIALKYLENE GLYCOL ESTER TO REDUCE FRICTION IN VEHICLES WITH HYBRID ENGINES

The present invention relates to the use of a diester of formula (I) in a lubricant composition for a vehicle equipped with a hybrid engine, to reduce friction when the engine is used at low speed and/or when cold.

Anaerobic lubricant sealant

Entry sheet for drilling and method for drilling processing using same

An entry sheet for drilling comprising: a metallic foil; and a layer of a resin composition on at least one surface of the metallic foil, the resin composition comprising a polyolefin resin (A) and a water-soluble resin (B), wherein a content of the polyolefin resin (A) is 25 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less based on 100 parts by mass of the total of the polyolefin resin (A) and the water-soluble resin (B), a content of the water-soluble resin (B) is 50 parts by mass or more and 75 parts by mass or less based on 100 parts by mass of the total of the polyolefin resin (A) and the water-soluble resin (B), and the water-soluble resin (B) comprises a high-molecular-weight water-soluble resin (B-1) having a weight average molecular weight of 2×10.sup.5 or higher and 1.5×10.sup.6 or lower.

Lubricant compositions

A lubricant composition comprises an anti-wear and or/friction modifying additive which is an ester of a fatty acid and a polyol. At least 50% by weight of the additive is in the form of a mono-ester, and is preferably a mono-glyceride. The lubricant composition may be used in an internal combustion engine.

Process to Produce Low Shear Strength Base Oils

A lubricating fluid comprising a base oil, which utilizes carboxylic esters of carboxyl di-end-capped-polyethylene glycols, or a mixture thereof with carboxylic esters of carboxyl di-end-capped-polytetramethylene glycols, to improve low temperature performance, as well as minimize elastohydrodynamic shear strength, and enables the production of high efficiency fluids with enhanced low temperature properties for machines or machine elements that operate in the elastohydrodynamic regime in lubrication.
