METHOD FOR IMPROVING ENGINE FUEL EFFICIENCY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY
A method for improving fuel efficiency and energy efficiency, while maintaining or improving deposit control and cleanliness performance, in an engine lubricated with a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil. The formulated oil includes a base oil mixture. The base oil mixture includes a lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and at least one cobase stock, as a minor component. The at least one cobase stock is present in an amount sufficient to reduce kinematic viscosity (Kv.sub.100) of the base oil mixture as determined by ASTM D445, while maintaining or controlling cold cranking simulator viscosity (CCSV) of the lubricating oil as determined by ASTM D5293-15, such that the lubricating oil meets both kinematic viscosity (Kv.sub.100) and cold cranking simulator viscosity (CCSV) requirements for a SAE engine oil grade as determined by SAE J300 viscosity grade classification system. A lubricating oil having a composition including a lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and at least one cobase stock, as a minor component.
Low friction slide member
A slide member having a slide surface coated with a lacquer comprising a resin. The lacquer is in turn at least partly coated with a lipophilic composition coating. The lipophilic composition coating provides a slide layer on the slide member with low friction.
Nuisance marine growth preventing compound and valve system
To prevent nuisance marine growth in a valve, particularly a ball valve, used to regulate a flow of seawater, a compound for lubricating and preventing nuisance marine growth is provided in the valve. The nuisance marine growth preventing compound includes a substantially uniform mixture of marine grease and an antifouling agent. The compound is introduced into the valve such that the compound is provided between and contacts a valve body and a ball that regulates the flow of seawater within the valve, and inhibits nuisance marine growth at a space between the ball and the valve body which is occupied by the compound.
POWDER LUBRICANT BASED ON FATTY ACIDS AND FATTY ACID GLYCERIDES AND USE THEREOF
A dry lubricant composition in powder form is provided based on a mixture of alkali metal salts of fatty acids and fatty acid glycerides which is useful in the production of aluminium cans in a deep drawing process, wherein the formed aluminium cans are immediately further processed to yield thin inorganic and/or organic protective coatings. The invention also encompasses the use of the lubricating powder for cold forming of aluminium as well as a process for the deep drawing of aluminium cans.

System and method for enhancing hydraulic fluids for down hole use
An enhanced hydraulic fluid comprises a conventional hydraulic fluid in combination with a predetermined amount of benzene by volume relative to the conventional hydraulic fluid. The predetermined amount of benzene preferably comprises between about 1.0% to about 20.0% benzene by volume, more preferably between about 1.5% to about 10.0% benzene by volume, and most preferably between about 2.0% to about 5.0% benzene by volume. The conventional hydraulic fluid may comprise electronics coolant liquids and oils. Conventional hydraulic fluids that may be mixed with benzene in the volumes described above include, but are not limited to, FLUORINERTS that include FC-43 and FC-70, including any perfluorinated, partially fluorinated, or partially chlorinated alkane with between about 3 to about 18 carbon atoms; mineral oils that include CAPELLA brand mineral oil; esther oils (synthetic or natural) that include formidals, and MIDEL brand esther oils.
Use of high temperature oils to enhance mechanical device operation/reliability
An oil for removing or preventing fouling on a mechanical component includes at least one vegetable oil having a flash point of 490 F. or above. A method of removing or preventing fouling on a mechanical component of a device, includes applying a vegetable oil or composition of vegetable oils on the mechanical component of the device. The vegetable oil or composition of vegetable oils has a flash point of 490 F. or above and operation of the device deposits carbon or other types of fouling on the mechanical component.
FLUID WITH POLYALKYLENE GLYCOL AND UNSATURATED ESTER
A fluid contains a base oil consisting of an alcohol-initiated polyalkylene glycol where polyalkylene glycol component is selected from a homopolymer of 1,2-butylene oxide and copolymer of 1,2-butylene oxide and propylene oxide; a glycerol-initiated unsaturated ester that is free of tertiary carbon atoms and quaternary carbon atoms; and an antioxidant.

LUBRICATING MIXTURE HAVING GLYCERIDES
The present invention relates to a lubricating mixture, which contains glycerides of natural origin and fatty acid alkyl esters. The glycerides are at least partly mono and/or diglycerides which form a mass fraction of 10% in the mixture. In a temperature range from 10 C. to at least 15 C. the mixture has a liquid phase with a solid fraction of 1 vol. %, which is formed from a fraction of glycerides and/or fatty acid alkyl esters. The mixture can be formed entirely from renewable raw materials, has a high viscosity index and is particularly suitable as a lubricant for use in gearings, electric motors or internal combustion engines.
