The present technology is related to amide or ester containing quaternary ammonium salts having a hydrocarbyl substituent of number average molecular weight ranging from 300 to 750, and the use of such quaternary ammonium salts in fuel compositions to improve the water shedding performance of the fuel composition.

ENGINE LUBRICANTS FOR SILOXANE DEPOSIT CONTROL
A zinc free or substantially zinc free lubricant having a sulfated ash content of less than about 1.0 percent and including (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity; (b) 0.03 to about 3.0 weight percent of a phosphite compound; (c) an metal containing detergent; (d) a polyisobutylene succinimide dispersant derived from an ethylene polyamine and having a carbonyl to nitrogen ratio equal or greater than 1; (e) at least one other dispersant; (f) a boron containing compound in amount to provide at least 25 ppm boron to the lubricant composition is useful for inhibiting siloxane deposits in a stationary gas engine fueled by natural gas having a high silicon concentration.
Lubricant composition containing an antiwear agent
The invention provides a lubricant composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and 0.01 wt % to 15 wt % of a protic acid salt of an N-hydrocarbyl-substituted gamma- (-) or delta- (-)amino(thio)ester. The invention further relates to a method of lubricating a mechanical device with the lubricant composition.
MARINE DIESEL LUBRICANT OIL COMPOSITIONS
A lubricating oil composition includes a major amount of an oil of lubricating viscosity and about 0.1 wt. % to about 10 wt. % actives, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, of at least one Mannich reaction product prepared by the condensation of a polyisobutyl-substituted hydroxyaromatic compound, wherein the polyisobutyl group is derived from polyisobutene containing at least about 70 wt. % methylvinylidene isomer and has a number average molecular weight of from about 400 to about 2500, an aldehyde, an amino acid or ester derivative thereof, and an alkali metal base. The lubricating oil composition can have a TBN of 5 to 200 mg KOH/g. The lubricating oil composition is a monograde lubricating oil composition meeting the specifications for SAE J300 revised January 2015 requirements for a SAE 20, SAE 30, SAE 40, SAE 50 or SAE 60 monograde lubricating oil.
Lubricant compositions containing controlled release additives
A lubricating oil including a lubricating oil base stock as a major component; and a mixture of (i) one or more protected lubricating oil additives having a first performance function, and (ii) one or more unprotected lubricating oil additives having a second performance function, as a minor component. The first performance function and the second performance function are the same. The one or more protected lubricating oil additives are inactive with respect to their performance function. The one or more protected lubricating oil additives are converted into one or more unprotected lubricating oil additives in the lubricating oil in-service in an engine or other mechanical component. FUEL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING DETERGENTS DERIVED FROM ETHYLENE-ALPHA OLEFIN COPOLYMERS
A fuel composition including a fuel and a fuel additive including a fuel soluble detergent selected from succinimide compounds of the Formula (I), Mannich detergents of the formulae (IIa), and amine detergents of the formulae (IIIa) and (IIIb). The fuel soluble detergents are derived from a specific class of ethylene-alpha olefin copolymers having an Mn of less than 5,000 g/mol, an ethylene unit content of more than 40 mol % to less than 90 mol %; a terminal unsaturation of 70 mol % or greater; at least 70 mol % of the unsaturation is terminal vinylidene, one or more tri-substituted isomers of the terminal vinylidene or any combination thereof, an average ethylene run length of less than 2.6; and wherein n.sub.C2,Actual>n.sub.C2,Statistical. Methods employing the fuel compositions for operating diesel and gasoline engines to reduce injector valve deposits, valve sticking and injector nozzle fouling, and a method for stabilizing a diesel fuel composition.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING OLEFIN COPOLYMER DISPERSANTS IN COMBINATION WITH ADDITIVES
Lubricating oil compositions including olefin copolymer dispersants comprising olefin copolymers derived from ethylene and one or more C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha olefins in combination with various additives and related methods are generally described herein. The compositions may include one or more phosphorus-containing compound(s), detergents, friction modifiers, extreme pressure agents, and mixtures thereof.
LUBRICANT FOR TWO-STROKE CYCLE ENGINES
