Provided are a liquid detergent composition and a method for washing textile products using the liquid detergent composition that provides excellent washing performance to sebum stains and anti-wrinkle performance for textile products even when water having high hardness is used. The liquid detergent composition contains an anionic surfactant containing an internal olefin sulfonate with 16 or more and 24 or less carbons; an amine-based alkali agent; a carbonate-based alkali agent; and water. The mass content of the internal olefin sulfonate in the anionic surfactant is 70% or more and 100% or less. The liquid detergent composition has a pH of 8.5 or more and 11.0 or less at 20 C.
