Method of Simultaneously Maximizing the Mildness and Cleaning Performance of a Liquid Dishwashing Composition

A method of simultaneously maximizing the mildness and cleaning performance of a liquid dishwashing composition includes the steps of: A. forming the composition that has a pH of greater than about 7 and up to about 11, that comprises sodium laureth sulfate, an amine oxide, and optionally cocamidopropyl betaine, and that is substantially free of sodium lauryl sulfate; and B. subjecting a sample of the composition to a Zein test, a corneosurfametry (CSM) test, and an in vitro cytokine release test for IL-1α response, respectively,

wherein the sample exhibits a Zein score of from about 0.1 to about 2.5, a CSM test value of from about 10 to about 35, and a cytokine release test value of from about 100 to about 600.

Use of Polymer Blends To Reduce Or Eliminate Amine Oxide In Hand Dishwashing Detergents

A method of improving or stabilizing foaming of a hand dishwashing detergent composition when combined with water is achieved by providing one or more of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol to a hand dishwashing detergent composition comprising an amine oxide. Hand dishwashing detergent compositions to reduce amine oxide content contain water, surfactant base, and foaming booster consisting of amine oxide, and one or more of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol. A foaming booster consisting of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol can eliminate use of amine oxides.

INTERACTION BETWEEN QUATERNARY COMPOUNDS AND ANIONIC SURFACTANTS - FOAM ENHANCEMENT AND STABILIZATION AND PREFERRED FOAMING ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS

The present disclosure describes antimicrobial, sanitizing and other applications employing a synergistic combination of a quaternary ammonium compound and an anionic surfactant. The present disclosure is also related to non-antimicrobial applications employing a synergistic combination of a quaternary ammonium compound and an anionic and/or nonionic surfactant. The present disclosure is related to various forms of concentrated or use compositions containing the quaternary ammonium compound and an anionic surfactant (and in certain embodiments nonionic surfactants). In particular, the present disclosure provides compositions having desired foaming enhancement and methods employing the same for applications such as pot and pan compositions, hand soaps, facility sanitizing, and other soil removal applications with foam stabilization.

ENZYMATIC FLOOR CLEANING COMPOSITION

The disclosure relates to hard surface cleaning compositions, methods of making the hard surface cleaning compositions, and methods of using the hard surface cleaning compositions. The hard surface cleaning compositions are enzymatic and near neutral in pH. In particular, the hard surface cleaning compositions have reduced surface tension for cleaning surfaces with low surface free energy. Preferably, the hard surface cleaning compositions have low contact angles on a variety of surfaces. In a preferred embodiment, the hard surface cleaning compositions comprise a biocide.

READY TO USE CLEANER/DISINFECTANT WIPE FOR CLEANING MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS

A single-step absorbent wipe for cleaning and disinfecting medical instruments includes various active ingredients as well as compounds that increase the efficacy profile of the product against various organisms, improve the buffering capacity of the formulation, enhance the antimicrobial efficacy against mycobacteria, increases the wetting and cleaning profile of the formulation, as well as adjusts the pH thereof. The disinfectant wipe provides a procedure to suitably clean and intermediate level disinfect medical instruments that are heat liable as well as non-submersible.

ALKALINE DETERGENTS AND METHODS OF CLEANING SHELL EGGS
20230151304 · 2023-05-18 ·

Alkaline detergent compositions and methods of using the same for washing of shell eggs are provided that exhibit rapid drying characteristics. The detergent compositions comprise an alkyl polyglucoside surfactant, an alkaline agent, sodium silicate, and water.

COLD-WATER LAUNDRY DETERGENTS
20170369816 · 2017-12-28 ·

Laundry detergents and their use for cold-water cleaning are disclosed. The detergents comprise a lipase and a mid-chain headgroup surfactant or an alkylene-bridged surfactant. The mid-chain headgroup surfactants have a C.sub.14-C.sub.30 alkyl chain and a polar group bonded to a central zone carbon of the C.sub.14-C.sub.30 alkyl chain. The alkylene-bridged surfactants comprise a C.sub.12-C.sub.18 alkyl chain, a polar group, and a C.sub.1-C.sub.2 alkylene group bonded to the polar group and a central zone carbon of the C.sub.12-C.sub.18 alkyl chain. Surprisingly, when combined with lipases, detergents formulated with the mid-chain headgroup or alkylene-bridged surfactants effectively liquefy greasy soils at low temperature and provide outstanding cold-water performance in removing greasy stains such as bacon grease, butter, cooked beef fat, or beef tallow from soiled articles.

HARD SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITIONS
20170369817 · 2017-12-28 ·

The need for a liquid hard surface cleaning composition which provides improved grease removal and low suds is met using a combination of alkyl ethoxylated nonionic surfactant; an anionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of: an alkyl sulphate, a sulphonic acid or sulphonate surfactant, and mixtures thereof; and a co-surfactant in specific ratios.
