COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR URIC ACID REMOVAL
This invention relates to a composition comprising: (a) 10-20 wt % acidifying bacteria, (b) 30-40 wt % of an oxidising agent, (c) 5-15 wt % of an organic acid, and (d) 1-10 wt % of a chelating agent. The invention also relates to a method of removing uric acid from a waste pipe comprising the step of inserting the composition into the waste pipe.
Biodegradable cleaning composition
The present invention is directed to biodegradable cleaning compositions, in particular hard surface cleaning compositions, and their use. The compositions according to the invention comprise one or more biosurfactants(s), one or more sorbitan ester(s) and one or more further surfactant(s), which is/are neither a biosurfactant nor a sorbitan ester.
FABRIC TREATMENT USING BACTERIAL SPORES
A method of treating a fabric in a washing machine using a cold and/or a quick program, including contacting the fabric with a treatment liquor comprising at least 1x10.sup.2 CFU/1 of liquor, of bacterial spores wherein the cold program includes a wash having a bath temperature below 30° C. and/or the quick program lasts less than 40 minutes.
Surface treatment
A method of treating a surface including treating the surface with bacterial spores and Saccharomyces supernatant.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING SPORES AND PRO-PERFUME MATERIALS
A surface treatment composition including from about 1×10.sup.2 to about 1×10.sup.9 CFU/g of the composition of Bacillus spores; from about 0.01% to about 15% by weight of the composition of a pro-perfume material including a glycoside, a phosphate acid ester, an amino-acid derivative, a carboxylic acid derivative, or a combination thereof; and a perfume.
Glycolipopeptide biosurfactants
Surfactants based on a newly discovered class of compounds include a hydrophobic lipid oligomer covalently linked to a peptide or peptide-like chain and a carbohydrate moiety, and a serine-leucinol dipeptide linked to the lipid oligomer. Such surfactants can be used to create an oil-in-water or water-in-oil emulsion by mixing together a polar component; a non-polar component; and the surfactant. Biosurfactants of the newly discovered class can be made by isolating and culturing a microorganism which produces the biosurfactant, and then isolating the biosurfactant from the culture. A microorganism can be engineered to produce biosurfactant of this newly discovered class by expressing a set of heterologous genes involved in the biosynthesis of the biosurfactant in the microorganism.
METHOD FOR PREPARING MUSHROOM ANTIBACTERIAL AGENT AND ANTIBACTERIAL AGENT MADE THEREFROM
The present invention provides a method for preparing an antibacterial agent using a mushroom and an antibacterial agent made therefrom. The antibacterial agent is made by using a residue left after preparing health foods from mushrooms, treatment with alcohol to obtain a solid matter, treatment with 1N sodium hydroxide after drying, autoclaving, rinsing with water, filtering for decolorization and treatment with 10N-15N sodium hydroxide as needed.
